Hello Reserves,

After the huge success of Star Trek: Hydra, and the continuation of the universe in Star Trek: Renown; it is time for another Star Trek Bridge Commander roleplay: Star Trek: Audacious. This RP will be the official third installment to the Hydra story, and will follow on from the events in the previous roleplays.

This roleplay will be mostly effected by you! I have a very basic story, that has been co-developed by Sammy, and that is it the rest is all up to you. As with Hydra, any events that you come up with, will be brought into the overal story arc, and you have control over the story. Before signing up, I would ask that you read the short backstory provided, as it givs you a basic insight to what is currently going on within the universe.

Backstory:

Five months have passed since the Klingon General Metak was defeated and the leadership of the Klingon Empire changed hands. Reports flood in from Federation Intelligence, all of which point towards an alliance between the Klingon and the Romulan Empires. The Federation is beset by enemies and it seems ever more likely that these enemies will set aside their differences to focus on their common foe.

Starfleet is preparing for war. Still weary and undermanned from the Dominion War, the likelihood of a Federation victory against a united Klingon-Romulan invasion is all but impossible. With these dire forecasts in mind Starfleet has ordered three Task Forces: Sigma, Theta and Omega, to begin deep space exploration efforts into the farthest reaches of the Alpha Quadrant. They will be going far beyond the Hydra sector.

This desperate move is a calculated risk in order to discover new resources, technologies and allies in order to bolster the Federation in its darkest hour. Whilst the Hydra sector yields a vast array of resources, the majority of these are allocated to construction and repair efforts across Federation member worlds.

The Klingons and Romulans have not formally signed an alliance, yet the Federation has another threat to consider. Since the conflict in the Hydra Sector, the Cardassian 11th Order under the leadership of Legate Havat has overthrown the Cardassian government and assumed command of all Cardassian forces. Intelligence reports that Havat is a brutal and aggressive leader. Considered vicious even by Cardassian standards, his assumption of power leaves the Alpha Quadrant in an even more precarious situation.

Under Havat's leadership, Cardassia's government has initiated a series of reforms to return it to a pre-Dominion state. With xenophobic sentiment redoubled on Cardassia, many within Cardassian government have pushed for another annexation of Bajor. How he so efficiently restored Cardassian superiority in the area, we do not know. However, it is clear to see that Havat is a great threat both to Bajor and the Federation as a whole.

With such great military expansion and reconstruction efforts across the great Alpha Quadrant powers, all easily accessible resources are being expended. Hence the need for a mission to explore 'Wild Space'. Your level of success will decide the fate of Alpha Quadrant. The Federation is depending on you. Good luck.

Unlike Star Trek: Hydra, you won't be limited (too tightly) about what ships you go for, so long as you don't go for an OP ship, you can choose from any canon Federation ship with the Kobayashimaru Mod. I would like to ask, that people avoid going for duplicate ship classes - i.e. everyone goes Galaxy class.

The only ship classes that you can't sign-up with, for balancing reasons, are as follows:
Sovereign class;
Prometheus class;
Eximus class;
Excalibur class;
Lakota class;
or any non-canon classes.

I would like a variation of ships, so please base your choice off of everyone elses choice - therefore, a near enough "first come, first serve" basis will be in effect for the signup. Go for whatever ship you like, and if the Task Force becomes too unbalanced, I will ask people to change their ship class.

You will be part of Task Force Omega, under the command of Admiral Adam Moorey, alongside veterans from the Dominion War, and the Hydra Conflict, you will effect the story in whatever way you deem fit.

If you're interested in RP, or even wanting to learn how to RP in Brodge Commander, then this event will be for you! With near enough unlimited freedom within a set few systems, you can change the story in anyway you seem fit - within reason!

If you have Bridge Commander, then I would like to suggest you at least try this roleplay, who knows maybe you'll discover a hidden talent?
