Intrepid Class Starship

When planning first began for Operation Delta Rising, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers quickly realized that an updated version of the famed Intrepid class would be essential for the mission's success. Most of the advanced technology used in the Pathfinder was first tested on the U.S.S. Voyager, which was completely updated before it departed for the Delta Quadrant. When Admiral Tuvok was satisfied with the ship's performance, work could begin to produce Pathfinders for the fleet.

The Pathfinder Long Range Science Vessel is a Tier 6 version of the Intrepid class science vessel. It features a hybrid Intelligence Bridge Officer seat and comes equipped with an Aero Shuttle Bay universal console. Additionally, it can equip the Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit’s Ablative Generator universal console.

Console - Universal - Aero Shuttle Bay

The Pathfinder Long Range Science Vessel comes equipped with an Aero Shuttle Bay universal console, allowing the science vessel to deploy a useful support craft to aid the starship in combat. The Aero Shuttle provides support with offensive science abilities and is equipped with special phaser beam arrays that have a greater chance to knock the target's subsystems offline.

This unique console may be equipped in any console slot on any Long Range Science Vessel variant.

Ablative Field Projector (Starship Trait)

After achieving level 5 in your Long Range Science Vessel [T6]’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Ablative Field Projector starship trait. While this trait is slotted, your shield healing bridge officer abilities provide a small amount of Temporary Hit Points on the target. This buff stacks up to 3 times.

Long Range Science Vessel Set

Equipping multiple consoles from the Long Range Science Vessel Refit, Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit and Long Range Science Vessel [T6] will bestow set bonuses to your starship.

Advanced Field Stabilizers (2pc)

+Max Shield HP
+Shield Healing

Aero Shuttle Weapon Upgrade (3pc)

Equipping all 3 pieces of the Long Range Science Vessel set allows your Aero Shuttle to use the Photonic Shockwave Torpedo.

While this T6 is a huge step up over the current Fleet version, I'm not seeing any real way in which this is better than the Dauntless.

Also, including the maps was a nice touch - That said, I hope there is a way to buy the maps separate.

This is certainly interesting... Shame the aero shuttle won't be available as an actual shuttle mind.

That is a shame, I was expecting it to be in an Intrepid interior pack, like what they did for the Type-10 (Chaffee) for the Defiant interior.

Of course nothing stopping them from adding it as a standalone shuttle down the line.

For those of you who purchase this early, I'd be interested in your feedback on the ship changes. I own the non T6 versions already, am currently flying a Vesta, and am considering switching back to my Recluse. Any and all opinions welcome.

That sure is a lot of Lieutenants. I have no idea what to do with that layout.

That trait looks interesting though, would it proc off EPtS? That would mean a constant source of temp HP...

This might be what I need to actually spend money on this game. I ground out the Dill for the intrepid (my very first c-store ship) but couldn't find a fleet to get the fleet version and haven't upgraded it to the T5-u yet (good thing heh).

I just want an intrepid I can maybe run in advanced stfs again. It is by far my all time favorite ship in the STO universe bar none.

Still lacking in tactical areas like Boffs one of the many reasons I upgraded to the vesta after 2 years of using the intrepid

The ship design, if it does look like that model, is awesome. Totally love that look.

Everything else? Let down. I honestly was expecting this to be the reveal of the sciflectors and why it was delayed this long.
