Starfleet Border Intelligence Report: 30th May 2378

Klingon Border:
>> USS Armstrong: patrolling near Arcanis – detected, on long range sensors, a very large subspace distortion, just inside Klingon territory. Science officer on board suggested the possibility of a large cloaked fleet.

>> Starbase 24: monitored high volume of traffic close to the Khitomer system. Large numbers of possible cargo ships, and a mixture of battlecruisers and frigates. Fleet around Khitomer nearing 150 ships. Ships stationed at SB24: USS Valiant; USS Sovereign; USS Texas; USS Hood, and USS Potemkin.

>> Deep Space K-7: Detected two Klingon battlegroups, of around 40 ships each, arriving in that sector 2 days ago. Sent request for reinforcements. Ships stationed at K-7: USS Achilles; USS Washington, and USS Trafalgar.

>> USS Hades: patrolling near Organia – harassed and followed, on Klingon border, by two Vor’cha class battlecruisers. Long-range sensors detected large fleets moving towards border.

>> Threat level along Klingon Border: High. Multiple battlegroups moving into striking distance of several outposts and systems, along the entirety of border. More ships are being diverted from Core systems, to bolster Romulan and Klingon border fleets.

Romulan Border:
>> Starbase 23: detected Romulan battlegroups grouping around Alpha Onias. Roughly 50 ships in total, cannot be certain due to the amount of cloaking within the region. Ships stationed at SB23: USS Indiana, and USS Axanar.

>> USS Ares: patrolling near Galorndon Core – encounter with an Romulan Warbird, which strayed into Galorndon Core system. No contact made, as ship quickly disappeared after discovery. Possible cloaked vessel, detected crossing border in the Algeron system. High amounts of sub space interference within the system.

>> USS Apollo: patrolling near Starbase 39-Serria: shadowed by at least one Romulan vessel. Possibly monitoring patrol routes. Long-range sensors picked up possible traffic within Alpha Messae system, prior to being intercepted by two Romulan Warbirds.

>> USS Colossus: patrolling border near Bassen rift. Unusual energy readings discovered in the Devron system. Long-range sensors have detected a small Romulan task force within the system, breaking Neutral Zone treaty. Once contacted, ships quickly cloaked and, presumably, withdrew back to Romulan space.

>> Threat level along Romulan Border: Medium-High. Note: Romulan Cloaking Devices more advanced than Klingon, possibility of undetected fleets high. More ships are being diverted from Core systems, to bolster Romulan and Klingon border fleets.

Cardassian Border:
>> Starbase 310: Long-range sensors detected fighting between two groups of vessels, within Cardassians borders. Presumably opposers to Legate Havat’s regime. Battle concluded at 23:46, local time. Rebels were destroyed. Ships stationed at SB310: USS Venture, and USS Centaur.

>> USS Shran: patrolling near Badlands. Attacked by two Cardassian Galor class ships, retreated into Badlands to avoid ships. Ships under the command of Gul Meos and Gul Linkat, both loyal officers of Legate Havat. Claimed that they violated Cardassian territory, even though they were 4 light years from the border. No casualties on board, 14 minor injuries.

>> USS Thunderchild: en-route to meet the rest of Task Force Omega in Argaya system. Encountered and attacked by Cardassian Keldon class, by the Argus Array. Argus Array un-damaged, Cardassian vessel retreated moments after they fired the first shot.

>> USS Perth: patrolling near the Rolor Nebula. Detected large Cardassian fleet moving towards the border. Presumably under the control of Legate Havat. Minotored the fleet from a safe distance, lost contact with them in the Delavi system.

>> Threat level along Cardassian border: Low-Medium. Civilian ships advised to stay at least 15 light years away from Cardassian border. Starfleet vessels should remain on alert. Internal conflicts still proceeding within the Cardassian Empire. Low ship traffic close to border.
