I had meant to post this much earlier, but I fully admit I forgot
Basic stuff
I've been playing MMOs since 1998, MUDs since 1994, and chat room based RP since 1992. Almost everything was medieval/fantasy in theme, which I don't care for, but other options at the time were pretty much non-existent. I still play a few MUDs even now. Having only text, everyone has different ideas and visuals in their head, making it really unique. Not that graphics are bad, but they'll never touch a good imagination.
In 2000 the beta started for Anarchy Online and there was no going back to medieval stuff after that. I still play that as well, though in a largely diminished manner. Having been part of their volunteer ARK program, and running the main info site for the game, I could never just up and quit. Plus, it's still good, ancient graphics and all. Best skill system I've ever seen, and it can wreck you if you're used to the hand-holding most games have.
I currently work at an advertising agency which allows me to mostly work from home. Graphics, writing copy, and web site design (with a PHP emphasis) are my main tasks. Also, overseeing photo shoots, recording sessions for radio spots, and general PR assistance for clients are thrown my way from time to time.

If you still own these Classic trek games I would encourage you to join Star Fleet Reserves here at UFP where we play most of those titles on a regular basis.

I'll have to check. The only one I know for sure that I have on hand, and installed, is Armada 2. A clean install because I had gone mod crazy with it before and broke pretty much everything.
