Hey all,

I saw this on the PWE STO forums, and though it was worth sharing here. (So please excuse the cross posting.)

I assume you have heard of the The Official Starships Collection, where you pay to get a Trek ship model every month or so.



While I haven't purchased any (my kids don't even leave the micro machine Star Trek ships alone!) it would be cool to have the Odyssey on my desk, so I signed the Petition for it to be included.

This is a petition to get the Odyssey Class USS Enterprise-F, as seen in Star Trek Online, included in the Star Trek magazine and model collection, Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection.

In a recent interview with The Trek Collective, The Official Starships Collection's manager, Ben Robinson stated:

"if more than 5,000 people sign up solemnly promising to buy a Titan or an Enterprise-F, we'll almost certainly do it. If anyone wants to make that happen then feel free - it's a serious offer. But, whatever you do, don't email me! I'm not going to count 5,000 emails."

This is a serious offer and 5000 is the number he would need to make a model as an special issue, separate from the main run.

The Enterprise-F is an Odyssey Class Dreadnought under the command of Captain Va'Kel Shon. She is the successor to the Enterprise-E, and remains the flagship of the Federation. The Odyssey Class Enterprise-F was launched in 2409 and has only appeared in the free to play massively multiplayer online game Star Trek Online.

The Enterprise-F was created as part of a joint Star Trek Online, CBS, and Intel competition to "design the next canon Enterprise" and the Odyssey Class (as named after the competition) has been designated an official ship class by CBS.

The Enterprise-F, and the Odyssey Class itself, are wonderful sleek ships that display the pinnacle of Federation starship design with it's unique split double neck and long body and is one of the largest starships created by Starfleet, surpassing even the Galaxy-class in size, and would make an absolutely stunning addition to the existing line up of Enterprise models.

If you would like to see this ship added to the collection and you "solemnly promise to buy" an Enterprise-F, please add your name here, and please spread the word to other fans of the Star Trek Starships Collection, Star Trek Online, and the Enterprise.

Personally, if they're putting fan designs in the 'official' collection, I'd much rather have the Aries from Axanar

Maybe you should start a petition for that ship, I'd support it! (Or suggest the Axanar folks put one together.)

(Though, I assume if the Enter-F gets made, they would be more likely to make the Aries from Axanar, and other ships outside hard canon.)

Also, it's not like you only get one vote. ; )

I would actually really like this, I've gotten quite a few of the ships/magazines before I cancelled my subscription. If they did it as a special edition model (like the DS9/JJ Enterprise) I would get it in a heartbeat. I know many think the Odyssey is a bloated whale but I really like the curves she's got. Just a shame the BOFF seating sucks for my playstyle, currently the Guardian is a few parsecs ahead of it in that department.

Only 500 or so votes though, well short of the 5000. Don't think it'll happen unless it get's promoted on the main Star Trek website or on Twitter.

Could be an interesting addition. The Enterprise F is certainly a beautiful ship but people may not know what the Enterprise F is if they haven't played Star Trek Online.

There's also not that many votes which is a concern.
