Office of External Affairs - Liaison Officer
CL4 - Tier 2 (Lieutenant Junior Grade)
The Liaison Officer (LO) is primarily a position requiring you to aid in planning and then hosting Joint Fleet Events (JFE). However, there will be other duties periodically assigned to you to aid us in our mission. One of these is a monthly Research and Development (R&D) Assignment where we will be looking at other communities "Best Practices" for possible incorporation into our own.
Being a Liaison Officer will allow you to come in contact with a wide range of persons and personality types. It will allow you to use and grow your interpersonal communication skills while you give back to the UFP.
An ability to think on your feet and quickly adapt will be necessary for this position. You will also be the primary point of contact with and chief representative of the UFP during JFE's, so a high level of trust will be required.
JOB DUTIES
- Represent the UFP in a positive light at all times.
- Help coordinate and then run joint events between the UFP and other Communities (or “Fleets.”)
- Promptly submit the appropriate reports after each event or when assigned a task.
- Maintain a visible and active presence in the Gaming Division to which you are assigned.
- Attend meetings when possible.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Operate at a level of activity that is deemed acceptable by the Head of Community Relations.
- Remain active on the UFP forums by reading and promptly responding to threads and private messages.
- Abiding by the policies and procedures set forth by the UFP and their Supervisors to an exemplary standard.
- Is it a CL5 position? No
- PLEASE NOTE: If it is a CL5 position, the successful candidate will have to sign the Command Position Agreement before entering the role.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Send your application to: Mush
The position closes on 05-01-2015 (January 5th, 2015).
TIP: While it is ultimately up to you how you format your application, please try to include your online volunteering history, any relevant real life experience that's applicable, why you decided to stick with the UFP, why you feel you're the best person for the role and how you think it will benefit you.
