I am happy to see the overwhelming support for the CMC that is being displayed. Alongside the formation of this council, Admiral Helena Cain will appointed as the Libran Representative to the council, and will oversee all joint military operations from her flagship, the Battlestar Pegasus.

For the safety of the councillors, all CMC meetings will take place onboard the Pegasus, and will be brought onto the ship onboard a Raptor with a double viper escort. Prototype transporter blockers have been placed around the interior of all the Battlestars, Escortstars and Gunstars currently in service, to prevent any instantaneous transport onto the vessels.

The following is a Utopia-wide broadcast from Emperor Thaan of Caprica. Brought to you by the Caprican Bureau of Information.

“Today, the Grand Empire of Caprica came under direct attack from foreign nations. The Empire of Elysium and the Satsumarian Reich have brazenly threatened the sovereignty of Caprica through an ill-advised assault on the ICS Delphi City. Through this action, they have displayed to the wider Utopian community an inability to exercise sound judgement and a flaggrant disrespect for the Caprican people.

For this rash display of military bravado, these nations have unknowingly set themselves on a course of events for which they are terribly unprepared. An insult to my people is not taken lightly, and this attack will be countered with all the means at my disposal. After emergency preparations were finalised, the Imperial Caprican military marched across the border and into Satsumarian territory. This threat must be quelled at its source. As such, I have advised my military commanders to employ a scorched earth policy as they push deeper into Satsuma City. Once there, they are to forcibly put down all military resistance and imprison any and all remaining political figures.

The Satsumarian Reich will fall when faced with the might and resolve of the Caprican armed forces. This I promise. Once the inevitable surrender of Satsuma is officially received, the broken empire will be annexed and permanently garrisoned. This measure is necessary to maintain stability and peace for the immediate future. The Imperial Grand Fleet has assembled off the coast of Delphi and is making ready to depart for western Utopia, to enact similar justice upon the people of Elysium.

The Satsumarian people have already suffered thousands of casualties, and you have my word as Emperor, that this is just the beginning. Such is the cost of betrayal. War is a messy and unpleasant business, but the gauntlet has been cast down. We have no choice but to meet this challenge head on.

I make this promise to all Caprican citizens: this ongoing threat will be countered. I will keep you safe at any cost.

The loss of Satsuma was a tragedy, and the thousands of lives lost in the battle will not be in vain... All Libran Federation units have been placed on high alert, and strategically positioned near Aerilon and Picon to help Satsumarian refugees escape the combat zone. This blatant disregard of the welfare of CSUN citizens will not be tolerated, and will be met with force.

Today, in response to these attacks, the USS Enterprise-B along with all Federation space vessels engaged the Caprican fleet in a surprise attack, and moved into positions around Unity Starbase, utlising it's firepower and shield strength to inflict heavy damage on Caprican forces. Within the first battle, the USS Yorktown and USS Miranda had sustained heavy damage, and were forced to flee Utopias orbit, many casualties have been sustained on both sides.

The Battlestars Pegasus, Galactica, Columbia and their support vessels, have begun a head on assault on the Caprican space station, which at present is in-complete, in an attempt to destroy all of the Imperial Caprican orbital assets. The newly promoted Admiral Cain, is preparing numerous strike forces to take the station, and secure Utopias orbit from the Imperials.

This attack on civilians will not be unchallenged, and it is clearer to me than ever before, that the Imperial Caprica, and the self-proclaimed Emperor, is a problem that will be dealt with, swiftly and decisively. It is only a matter of time until Caprica is returned to those who were voted into power, not those who grabbed power. Whilst this continues, any and all civilians fleeing from the combat zone will find safe haven in the Libran Federation.

Following from the information recently published from the legitimate leader of Caprica, I am proud to announce that the once Imperial controlled space forces have been dispatched, and control of the Caprican space station has been given back to the President of Caprica and his forces.

The battle between Libran's forces, and Caprica's has taken a toll, we lost many vessels in the engagement but thanks to recent breakthroughs in shield technology, we managed to stay ahead of them. All of Libran mourns this day as thousands of lives were lost in the fight for freedom, and the reinstatement of the Caprican President.

Once again, I pledge all of the Libran's forces and those of the CMC forces to the aid of President and King of Celar Lockley. We will do our utmost to fight for freedom, security and peace within Utopia once again.

Completion of Confederate Fleet Command

As of this afternoon, the Confederate Fleet Command base has been officially completed, with a fully equipped airbase and naval base it will act as our centre for all military operations and hub of CSUN military activity. Working tirelessly to complete the base, the Libran Corps of Engineers managed to complete work on the newly reformed base, to aid in the offensive on the Caprican Empire. Military forces from all founding CSUN nations have been deployed on the base and will make up the majority of it's complement, with the Libran Enterprise Battlegroup permanently alongside the first vessels liberated by Caprican forces loyal to the President.

More naval vessels will be arriving over the course of the next week, to fully prepare for the final offensive into the heart of Caprica, to liberate our fellow founding nation. This day marks the dawn of a new day, as the capital of CSUN has finally been completed, whilst being defended by the most advanced weapons and defences within Utopia. Caprica and the Satsumarian Reich have unilaterally provided their military designs for mass production on the base for future operations.

The completion of CFC will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity.
