On January the 16th 1995, Voyager was first aired on TV, while today misses that date by quite a few days, it was the series that got me into Star Trek, although I only saw short clips of it back then before bed, it still stuck in my mind. Years later, I caught repeats or even later episodes, from there, watching the older TNG and others.
A number of characters really stood out in there, obviously Janeway and Seven of Nine but I also like the Doctor, Tuvok, dare I say it, Kim.
I'm sure we all have our memories of Voyager, some dislike it and others really like it.
So, here's to 20 years of Voyager! I do wish they would make a new series.

Heh, I remember discussing the first few episodes with friends as I walked to school... as they premiered...
It wasn't my favourite series, mine was definitely TNG, but that was also my Star Trek. The one I grew up with.
However, Voyager did have some fun episodes, and some fun characters. I was more a fan of Tom Paris than Kim or Neelix, but they definitely all worked their parts.
...and yeah, I'd love to see a new show as well.

The Kains speaks truth! TNG was the series that hooked me. It took me a lot longer to get into DS9, but I really started enjoying it around the end of Season 3. Unfortunately, I've yet to see most of Voyager as I just could not get into it. For some reason the characters just grated on me lol.
In either case, it still created a lot of new franchise fans and helped keep the universe alive and for that they have my respect!
