I'd like to start with saying that the place looks great and I look forward to gaming with you all. I am brand new to the game of STO and have been wondering what took me so long to give it a try.

Personal History:
I am 32 years old, married with 2 kids, and I separated from the Air Force in May 2012. I was stationed at Elmendorf AFB,AK for the first 3 years and then Holloman AFB, NM for the last 3. My only regret is getting out and giving up all the great benefits that you receive while being active duty. Fast forward a few years and I am now taking advantage of the Post 9/11 GI Bill and just completed my first year of college.

Gaming History:
I have been gaming on the PC since my grandpa introduced me to Doom many years ago. From there I went on to Duke Nukem before finally moving on to multiplayer based games. The first was Starsiege Tribes and after a few years of playing competitively moved to Counter-strike. My first venture into MMOs was a good 10 years ago when a friend talked me into trying out a beta for WoW. I had always told myself that I would never pay a monthly fee to play a game but that quickly changed. I spent a few years playing WoW and still jump on for a month or so after new content comes out but that venture opened the doors for me to explore a whole new world of MMO gaming.

MMO History: (not in order)
WoW, RF Online, Aion, Age of Conan, Rift, FF, PS2, Eve Online, GuildWars 1&2, Pirates of the Burning Sea, War Thunder, and finally Star Trek Online


My most resent games have all been based in space which is probably due to the fact that over the last year or so I have spent a great many hours watching a ton of netflix. I watched all of the Stargates(sg1,atlantis,universe, and movies), Battlestar Galactica, and most recently Star Trek. I am currently on season 6 of Voyager.

Hope to get invited to the fleet here shortly so I can begin joining in on some of these events I see posted. See you all in games soon!

I had a nice chat with ya on Teamspeak last night. Like I said me or someone here in the fleet can help ya level up your toon, so you can start doing the events with us, and most of the events are level 50+.

It's nice to see a fellow southerner. I haven't been with this community long, just under a month now, but the comradery here is awesome! We are a group of trekkers that enjoy getting together and playing a game that we all love. It's always more fun when you have friends to play with, right?

I used to play Doom and Duke Nukem myself, takes me back to my childhood days, hehe. I look forward to seeing you in STO and if you ever need help with missions, feel free to give me a shout!
