Since stopping by apparently hasn't gone totally unnoticed (Hey, Dark), I thought I'd introduce myself to the rest of the community.
I'm Vel (or Vel'Gon, or Emergency Vel'Gon Hologram, or other variations)@jarvisandalfred in-game. I originally stopped by because I was summoned (by mentioning my name 3 times). Looks like a nice bunch of people here, so I figure I'll stick around and chat with you guys if that's cool with you guys.
I fly a lot of engineers, and most of them tank (so far, the exception to that is a healer). I have a few tac captains floating around, but those mostly exist for the purpose of learning how to fly better so that I can tank better. I mostly theme myself around the Marvel Universe, and most of my ships are named after something Iron Man built (usually a suit).
I'm on reddit as /u/Mastajdog, or the forums as Jarvisandalfred, where I mostly give out build advice, and chat, and give a lot of opinions. I also moderate /r/stobuilds, and have written a good portion of the wiki on that subreddit (which you can read here if you want to).
