Hi, welcome to UFP! I liked both JJ movies. I think of them as an attempt to get better box office results and wider fan base. Personally, I'd prefer if they were a bit more Star Trek but I can live with way they are. When it comes to Trekkies/ers... I identify with the idea and principles behind Star Trek and that is what matters for me most... I don't mind being called either. Most people don't know the difference anyway... but if I'd have to choose, I'd choose Niner.
Btw... we've planned liberating some of your Brethren and we'd appreciate a helping hand. Hope to see you there!
