I'm not sure who else was watching GDC announcements in the past few days, but there is a lot of cool stuff coming out soon. Stardock has 2 new games coming out, one is a massive RTS that looks like a new Supreme Commander and it's all fine and dandy, but an even BETTER game is coming out!

Servo is being made by the group that brought you gems such as Ages of Empires and Age of Mythology (though now it's a new studio, based near where I'm at! Big Grin). It's an RTS that looks a little on the small squad scale, but I'm sure it can get crazy if you up the difficulty enough. The main thing about this game is it has robots that you customize. Your robot and crews are persistent throughout the whole game, so as you play through the campaign, you gain parts. You can take those parts into multiplayer and Co-op and continue to build your collection. You can then go back to single player content, play it on harder difficulties and do even better. It's really cool to see that your team stays throughout the entire thing.

I've already pre-ordered it. If you pre-order, you'll get into the friends and family alpha, and I'd assume that if there's a beta, you'll be in that too. It looks like a modern Metal Fatigue, and if you've not played that game you are missing out. When they release info on being able to play, I'll update with my username so we can find each other in game.
