    Thanks everyone for the help in my last post about my Tactical Escort Retrofit T5U build, But I got lucky and now have the Jem'Hadar Strike Ship T6. :mrgreen:

    I was hoping for some input about my build. I want to do big DPS. (When you see my link below, the skill planner does not have the Dominion Defensive Screen Console, but that I what is in the empty science slot. Also the middle rear Omni Beam is the Ancient Omni-Directional Beam also not available in the skill planer). I am also slowly working on getting CrtDx3 weapons and I like to use all Antiproton.

    I guess my biggest question is I was going to go all Beams but it has the "Go for the Kill' Space trait that gives 3 extra seconds of cannon rapid fire. So should I go back to all DHC's and 1 DBB or the other way around? I guess what I am asking is How many DHCs/DBBs should I use in the front and how many Arc Beams and Turrets in the Back?

    And the next big question is should I use the Crystalline Antiproton Torpedo Launcher when I get it?

    Extra info, I am a Tac Captain lvl 60 and I also have all Reputation Traits Maxed, so suggestions on what space traits to use would be appreciated. I also listed below all the space sets I have.

    Thanks for the info again dark. so you wouldn't use Cannon Rapid Fire at all for the ship trait? I had enough to get the engine, deflector and shields. And if I am understanding you correctly, are you saying all DBB up front and all Omni/KCB in the rear with no cannons anywhere?

    Yeah, either 4x DBBs fore, 2x Omni (1 crafted, 1 set) and KCB aft, or just 6x BAs 1x KCB.

    The trait isn't that great primarily because CRF isn't that great. For PvE you'd want 2xFAW or 2xCSV, and for PvP you'd be better off going with 2xSurgical Strike.

    That's OSS 1/2 in the Intel slots to boost your FAW/APO power, by the way. You've got Beam Target Shield showing there.

    Haha, yea I had a dumb moment and forgot it was an intel spot. I clicked the first one that had an S in it lol. Its fixed now. I am 2 points away from being able to make intel boffs. What could I do till then? I was thinking TT1/APB1/APO1/APO3 and TT1/FAW2/FAW3?

    Personally, I just bought the training manuals off the Exchange. They weren't expensive when I last looked, though "expensive" is relative.

    Just to drop in here. The fleet bank has most training manuals including Intel ones. If there is something specific you need you can always drop Keenan, Begotten or myself a PM an well can get them for you.

    Thanks for the help everyone. I have done a bunch of ISA's and my dps is averaging 12k with a high of 14k. This is about 5k above what I was doing before all the info I got on here. Thanks! :mrgreen: As for the training manuals I have them, but I need a Intel/Tac Boff to put them on.

    So how can I get up to 20K? I know I need more CrtDx3s and am working on it, but what else can I do? Would a different ship be better?

    Generally if you're under 20k, it's not the gear quality yet that will make the biggest difference. Well, the biggest difference will be when you manage to fit in OSS1 and OSS2, since a FAW at 165 power vs at 125 power is fairly noticable.

    How are your keybinds? Make sure Distribute_Shields is not on a keybind that you're spamming. My recommendation with your current layout:

    Spacebar: Fleet Support, Fire Phasers, EptW3, EPtS1, AtSIF1, 2xTT1
    (I like to put Fleet Support there, so that if my hull drops below 50% it'll fire. Sure, it's probably better off timed, but when my hull drops my thoughts tend to be "NEED HEALS" not "Oh, I should summon reinforcements now!")
    Key (ex. E): APO3, APO1, FAW3
    Key (ex. Q): APB1, FAW2

    So if you tap spacebar you keep your buffs going, then once you get in range you tap E twice (make sure APO3 is triggered before APO1, you don't want to lead with APO1) to get APO3 and FAW3 going, then tap Q twice when APB1 and FAW2 are available, if you're in position.

    Aside from that, it's a matter of positioning and being close to your targets.

    Thanks again dark I have almost doubled my dps with all your help. I figured out how to key bind thanks to your guides A bit difficult at first but easy once you figure it out the coding. I did the 3 key binds you suggested and WOW so much easier than doing it manually. A few ISA's and dps is up to 14-15k average.

    I am one more level away from being able to train my tac as intell. I will put those OSS's on as soon as I can.

    What would you suggest for keybinds once i get the OSS's. I am going to use your recommendation from your first post

    I would put OSS2/OSS1/FAW3/APO3 on one key, and FAW3/APB1 on the other.

    Note that there are drawbacks to this, though it's generally considered negligible. In the interests of full disclosure:

    First of all, know that introducing Zemok/Rugal results in an average of a 1s delay between FAWs. Alternating FAW3/APO3 with FAW3/APB1 while using a Zemok/Rugal:

    FAW3/APO3 ...20s... FAW3/APB1 ...22s... FAW3/APO3 ...20s... FAW3/APB1 ...22s... FAW3/APO3 ...

    This is generally considered acceptable, since the point of Zemok/Rugal is to save BOff stations, so much like DCE DOffs the slight trade-off is to be expected.

    OSS1/OSS2 has a 45s duplicate ability cooldown between them, so if we align them with APO3 we'd end up with:

    FAW3/APO3/OSS2 ...20s... FAW3/APB1 ...25s... FAW3/APO3/OSS1 ...20s... FAW3/APB1 ...25s... FAW3/APO3/OSS2 ...

    So we've added another 1.5s on average between FAWs. This is also considered acceptable because firing FAW3/APO3 while at +40 or +30 Weapon Power is a +80% or +60% buff to damage from Weapon Power, and should pretty much negate whatever loss in DPS that additional 1.5s delay introduces.

    Do remember that you should not use Engineering Team as a reactive heal as part of this sequence. OSS lasts 20s, once it expires it'll disable one of your subsystems. This is a Bad Thing. If you use Eng Team up to 4 seconds before it expires, it will negate this because Eng Team will repair disabled subsystems for 5s after it's activated. So roughly when you see one or two seconds of OSS remaining, you should tap Eng Team.

    If you had to use Eng Team as a heal, and the cooldown is greater than 10s when it's time to use OSS, you might want to hold off on the OSS unless you're willing to accept a subsystem getting knocked offline for 2s at the end of it.

    Thanks again. I don't have Zemok/Rugal. been using 3 DCEs and 2 that reduce the time on ET and ST. Since I will be down to only 1 TT should I use a boff that reduces the time on that too?

    This suggestion:

    Cdr Tac: TT1/APB1/FAW3/APO3
    LCdr iTac: OSS1/OSS2/FAW3
    Ens Eng: ET1
    LCdr Uni: EPtS1/AtSIF1/EPtW3
    Lt cUni: HE1/ST2

    Does require 2 Conn DOffs, 2-3 DCEs, and 1 Zemok/Rugal.

    Without the Conn DOffs, you won't get maximum Tac Team uptime.

    Without Zemok/Rugal, I'd actually suggest:
    Cdr Tac: TT1/APB1/APO1/APO3
    LCdr iTac: OSS1/FAW2/FAW3
    Ens Eng: ET1
    LCdr Uni: EPtS1/AtSIF1/EPtW3
    Lt cUni: HE1/ST2

    This does free up the timing on ET1 and OSS1 for whenever you want. Would be alternating FAW3/APO3/OSS1 ... FAW2/APB1 ... FAW3/APO1 ... in that case.

    I got my intel/tac Boff now and below is how I set it up. I'm using 2 blue Conn Doffs and 3 Blue DCE. (purples are expensive eek! ). Set up 2 key binds (OSS1/APO3/APO1/FAW3) and (APB1/FAW2) and (FireAll/TT1/EPtS1/AtSIF1/EPtW3) on the space bar.

    My new dps is......averaging 18k with a high of 18.5k. I am super happy but would be really really super duper happy to hit 20K. what else can I do? Big Grin

    I found zemok on the exchange and I don't have 85mil Cry so i guess that is out.

    Holy moly Zemok is 85 mil now? eek!

    Build-wise I don't know what else you can do, it's an issue of piloting now. Are you aware of "the coathanger" method?
