    I am trying to get screen shots for my signature and I gather you type /screenshot ,but I can not find the file (I use windows 7)

    All you need to do is hit the print screen button on your keyboard. If you locate your STO folder (mine is in Valve's as I bought via steam so I can't direct you entirely), but it should be in a folder called screenshots, in another folder called Live. Give it a try anyway.
