So I've resolved to watch EVERY episode of Trek from start to finish no matter how many times I've seen it or how awful the episode is (I'm looking at you, TNG season 1). I'm alternating around series every couple of episodes to avoid series fatigue.

Anyway, as I'm going through Voyager and Enterprise, I'm into season 2 of each of them, and one thing that is driving me NUTS is the amount of "two of our officers have been captured on some alien world and the authorities are not cooperating." It happens ALL THE TIME. And the same thing happens. It's driving me nuts lol I had to switch back to DS9 for a bit when I got to S2E17 of Enterprise because it was the same tired story line.

Anyway, for being my two least favorite series, I'm actually enjoying Enterprise and Voyager much more than I have in years. Despite my complaints about the frequent "crew gets taken captive every other week", I'm finding these two series much more enjoyable than I used to.

True Jordan and most of the DS9 Battles were just that the icing on the star trek cake as it were Smile But I do not know if this is true or not that they are trying to unkill Enterprise you might know?

I must say, the thing that gets me hooked on each series on a re-watch is watching the show day after day. I agree that some of the flimsy plots really do get old, but I almost don't notice sometimes and I've watched the shows countless times.

When Netflix streaming became a thing, I watched all of DS9 and TNG simultaneously, alternating and loved it. It was my first time watching through DS9 from start to finish (had only caught syndicated reruns before) and I was so emotionally attached to the show by the end.

Fast forward to the last few years and my best friend and I have been pretty much watching each series from start to finish starting with TOS. We're now most of the way through DS9 and I'm dreading the end because I'm just absolutely hooked and don't want it to end. I know Voyager is great and I'm looking forward to it, but I'm so sad to think about not hearing Sisko's voice or Odo's sassy comments.

Voyager is one of my favourite series, although I don't think anything can beat the DS9 battles in the later series!

For me anyway, I think Enterprise was so underrated, it was a good show and I thoroughly enjoyed it right up until they killed off Trip... then I hated the show. lol
You hated the last 10 minutes then? Wink

I still haven't gotten around to watching The Original Series, I've seen random episodes here and there and I've enjoyed them for the most part. I haven't watched The Animated Series (nor do I intend to at the moment).

I agree that with the advent of Netflix, binge watching Star Trek has become a common occurrence for me!

For me anyway, I think Enterprise was so underrated

I prefer Enterprise, and thoroughly enjoyed the episodes that dealt with the Vulcans and Romulans. Those two races are the best in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, every series of Trek is awesome.

As with many of you, I watch the reruns on Netflix often and, as noted by others each has its good and bad points. In general I would have to go with Enterprise because of the broadcast quality (and the decontamination scenes, *smile*). The ending was disappointing, however. The best ending I thought was Voyager. The only series I was ever really disappointed in was DS9.

Personally my favorite will always be TNG. Apart from the first 2 seasons, it's the best Star Trek series, and the ending is just perfect. Second would be TOS. I grew up with both these series (TNG live and TOS reruns).

The only one I have not watched in it's entirety is Enterprise. I can't stand most of the characters and the stories are not that interesting. I did try watching it more than once, from the first season or the third (since I've been told it's the best season) but I stopped watching it after a few episodes. The only episodes I remember being good are the Dark Mirror episodes and the finale (because it's more TNG than Enterprise Big Grin )

Archer's Enterprise was good, not great but good. I think one of the problems Enterprise had was that people were expecting something other than early federation. I never liked the idea when I first heard about it and actually completely forgot about the entire series after watching the pilot. Years later, I finally came back to it and suddenly liked it a whole lot. Towards the end though I felt like they were running out of ideas and unique enough content which is why I can understand the cancellation of ENT, especially when the series wasn't very popular with people in the first place..

The finale was awful. The only bit I super enjoyed was the very last scene which was EPIC, all three captains and enterprises together.
