hi there,
I am scoop (or Stephan in RL) from germany and currently a student of social sciences at duesseldorf university. I'm pretty sure my age is 31 at this point in time and been a fan for a bit more than 20 years now.
I am a huge supporter of the picard era or TNG but prefer the motion pictures with KirK's crew over the rest. Too bad they stopped making star trek movies after nemesis... 
My favourite ST game besides STO is ST:Birth of the Federation which desperately deserves a remake in my opinion. I also really enjoyed the fact that you were able to walk the hallways of Janeway's Voyager in ST:Elite Force. Occasionally, I have a look at what the guys over at ST:Excalibur are doing...
I started playing STO shortly after its release back in 2010 but stopped playing after about 1 1/2 years, partially due to cryptic's lethargic attitude towards pvp.
Nowadays, I don't really care anymore about competitive gaming in STO but still recognize (enjoy) its atmosphere and next gen based content. I mean, cryptic really changed a lot over the years like Earth spacedock, for example, which looks so much better and appropriate now. Missions like the one where you escaped with the Enterprise C invoked nostalgic memories of old TNG episodes and made me smile which is all a ST fan can ask for at this point in time, all things considered.
I can still remember 12th fleet and UFP from back in the days as one of the bigger and better organized fleets.
I joined therefore UFP which seems to cater best to my needs as a star trek fan who enjoys playing video games.
I'm looking forward to go on occasional group missions, events and pvp with you guys!

Greetings and welcome, it would be nice to have a PvP update, but that doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon, still plenty of STO events to attend and other games if you have the ones our Holodeck division is setting events up for. It would be nice to see more Trek and even more games, even graphical remakes of the older games, so they will run on modern PCs and look more upto date.
But hey, that's a discussion for another day right, welcome once again

Nice to meet you TNG was a good era I know some prefer TMP but all of them had one good thing in them the Enterprise so cant complain to much.
