My ode to Chok's great daily posts, but I'm just gonna put up things I find interesting, weird, or just fun whenever I have free time. I'll make sure to include some star trek stuff and sci-fi if I find it weird enough.
In Nemesis, Frakes refused to shave his back so they digitally removed it. The hair, not his back.

Popeye ate spinach because it contained 10 times the iron of other veggies. That's how he got so strong....or is it? Someone in the FDA made a mistake and misplaced a decimal point. Spinach doesn't have any more iron than any other veggies. So all y'all that were forced to each their spinach so they'd grow up strong (I like spinach so it's ok with me), you can tell your parents that popeye lied to them.
The Turritopsis nutricula is more commonly known as the immortal jellyfish, because as far as scientists can tell, the creature lives forever. Once the jellyfish matures and reproduces sexually, it reverts back to its juvenile state and begins the maturation process anew. There does not appear to be a limit as to the number of times it can repeat this process.
