Federation News Service - Full Time Writer
CL4 - Tier 2 (Lieutenant)
The role of a Full-Time Writer is to work within the Federation News Service to consistently produce high-quality articles covering the latest and greatest in Trek-related news. If the opportunity presents itself, you might also have the chance to conduct interviews with known figures in Sci-Fi and Trek. This position is perfect for individuals brimming with creativity who wish to give back to the community through the medium of print media.
JOB DUTIES
- Write stories for FNS based on the assignments volunteered for and/or given out by the Department's Command Staff.
- Conduct interviews assigned by the Command Staff.
- Meet the minimum news story requirements for each month as set by the Department's CO.
- Take initiative and write articles without being asked to do so when new, interesting, or otherwise important stories crop up.
- The successful candidate of this role would report to Cehus .
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- It is required that for this role, you must have passed and completed the Entrance Exam and the Officer Qualification Exam.
- A keen eye for detail and potentially newsworthy items.
- Being knowledgeable on how to appropriately write news stories. Proper format, structure, style, etc.
- Is it a CL5 position? No
PLEASE NOTE: If it is a CL5 position, the successful candidate will have to sign the Command Position Agreement before entering the role.
