Hmmm, I liked the first one, true but the new one looks so *industrialy clean* if you get me. All the mapshots till now have very bland futuristic enviroments. I find this a bit sad and wait for more information before I decide. And I already have to spend my hard earned credits for other games like Battlefront 3, Fallout 4, Mass Effect Andromeda.

I still need to finish Pillars of Eternity (1st Expansion came out), I'm currently in the middle of Shadowrun Hong Kong (as May knows ), I have yet to touch Witcher 3 (new computer, please!), then there's still Fallout 4 coming. Delaying X-Com 2 doesn't really affect me, 'cause my plate is overfull anyway.

I can recommend the Witcher 3 if you manage to get it going. I've played through about 1.5 times now (doing a NewGame+) and I've not seen it all. It's not perfect by any means but it's pretty close.

That's a fair comment Lokisan, there hasn't been much variety shown yet but some of the interviews have mentioned different map "blocks" for the procedural maps to draw from, which have include Forest, Desert, Urban etc. so I'm hoping there'll be more variety.

As for me, I'm a massive fan of the original XCOM and the Firaxis reboot (and Xenonauts too) so I guess I'm trippin a bit more

I still have the first three X-COMs on my system and still play them (modded) ocassionally. I also love the third installment, Apocalypse, for its retro future look and the fact, that you could wreck havok, not only in the Alien dimension, but also in the city. The Fireaxis Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within are also very well done and only lack the random base fights for me.

Heh yeah. Although in my case that's likely to be; *attempt ambush* -> fail miserably -> general firefight -> 3 soldiers down -> run like hell
