This might be okay as an episode but I wouldn't care for it as an entire series. I would rather see a spin off of Riker or maybe Tuvok.

I would watch it because it's our traditional Trek and not the JJ stuff. I did enjoy the Klingon episodes because I thought through all those TNG episodes they really emerged to be more than just the episodes bad guy and there are still a lot of story to tell about them. Still for as much as I liked Worf, I don't know if a whole series centered around him within the Klingon Empire would go too far. People was the federation mostly. They want to see the continuation of the Enterprise and at best Titan. However, We also have to appreciate, that the last time we saw any of the TNG actors on screen was Nemesis a whopping thirteen years ago. They've all aged 13 years and having any Trek pick-up from where nemesis left off would be weird with our current aged TNG cast as is. Honestly, if they do bring back Star Trek to tv, they bring a new and fresh enterprise perhaps a generation or two after with new missions... perhaps a war... I still think some of the best trek was the Dominion Wars, and I felt it was cut short. Anyways, here is hoping. Thank you very much for the article Kraziyk!

You are welcome. I would love to see Star Trek return to TV, however I don't know how I feel about it personally as I was a die-hard Voyager fan. I felt like that gave Star Trek the feel it needed, it put the starship and the crew in a constant challenging situation instead of "well we're screwed let's go to Starbase 8675309 and it'll be fixed."

I would have to agree with most, as I would watch it because it is of course Trek but as that story is currently set I don’t feel that the current fan base would throw their full support for it and it would fail. If they are going to stick to that era then I would say that they should focus on the Federation exploring/bringing order to the Gamma Quadrant with the Dominion suffering near collapse with the loss of the war. Once that story line is successfully built throw in another war perhaps more in line with STO or even dare I say the Borg?!?!?!?

I just need new Star Trek, There are quite a few fan films being created right now, but I don't think those will fulfill my desire for new stories, adventures, problems, battles, relationships, and so on. The books do an okay job, and I have over 600 eBooks but, those take dedication and time I don't have.

This idea of a show focused on Worf as a captain does sound intriguing, but how does he come to be aboard this Klingon warship? Does he kill the captain, and take over as leader, because in Klingon society, anyone can challenge the captain, and the strongest becomes captain... what Kind of crew mates would worf have, thats something i've been thinking about...... And how does his time among the Klingons end leading up to Nemesis? This show may have some potential, but then again it may very well be cut short, it would be interesting to see a new Star trek series, even if this is a spin off.

I did read and watch a few different pieces that suggested several paths this show could take, and one of them suggested that Worf leaves Starfleet or takes a kind of sabbatical to find himself as a Klingon. But I read and watch so many things that I couldn't put any valid stock in it. But that was the most coherent theme.

Ooh, I'll watch it. To be honest, I'm tired of the Starfleet / Federation centric Star Trek stories. The galaxy is huge, we deserve to know what's it is like from the perspective of the other governments, its peoples, their struggles, life, thinking.

I'd probably watch a series, even a 13-episode web series about the Tzenkethi :p It's time to see how beautiful and attractive they truly are. (And no naked aliens wearing Risa suits.)

There is also the Delta and Gamma Quadrants. Plenty of stories there to tell.

I guess, we do need CBS (and Paramount for that matter) to loosen up their hold on the franchise and create a serious canon-continuity project at the level of the new Star Wars or War of the Worlds. Shared-universe, with stories from the perspective of different people and entities. This way we can build a grand picture of what really is like to be living in Star Trek's timeline.

ST: Captain Worf, if approved, is a step in the right direction for the franchise. (They also should stop accelerating technology too fast or we'll have nothing else to write.)
