Hello UFP! I am delighted to be here. As one of those newbies coming over from the 12th Fleet, I appreciate the opportunity of joining such a well-regarded and thriving community. I've been involved with STO since beta and a lifetime subscriber at launch. I joined 12th Fleet in 2012 and have been with our Section 31, becoming a Captain (Gamma Squad) (something like CL4-5 in responsibility) and one of many responsible for the vetting of new members,

I enjoy STO, largely because I am a Star Trek fan at heart. I believe in canon, but accept the JJverse and don't let canon stand in the way of having fun. I was more of a PvP fan, though I am not that great at it since I insist on flying certain non-optimal ships (I.e. Fleet Galaxy-X). Make no mistake though, I've played enough to gild weapons, consoles, etc. for a vast personal fleet ranging from the Annorax Time Ship through a Jem'hadar bug ship (and most things in between). I succumbed to this DPS phenomena back in February, trading in AccX4 phaser arrays for CritD3+ Pen (now DmgX3 + Pen) arrays in my Dreadnought. Tanking PUGs, I'm a 50K/Gold member of both DPS leagues.., always trying to squeeze more DPS. I will outfit the Time Ship with AP when I get bored..,,

In real life, I am a physician in a world-renowned medical practice, a father of two (with a third in the way), and a husband to a wonderful wife... working away here in Lake Wobegon, USA.

Once again, delighted to be here. Happy to see others in the 12th have made the transition as well... and looking forward to flying with new friends here in the UFP Fleet.
