Was never a fan of InuYasha, but wifey loves it. It gave me an easy source of Christmas/birthday/cheer up/just-because-I can gifts so definitely a +1 in my book for primo good husband points.

To be fair I'm not a huge mech fan: Gundam did nothing for me and I have been informed by many that it is the quintesential mecha piece.
Robotech was the cartoon I raced home from elementary school to watch everyday, so it holds a special place for me (Even if it is a touch hard to watch now due to rampant 70's discrimination...)
And yeah, wifey loves the mushy stuff sometimes

I love action anime but the mech stuff never did anything for me. Think the only Gundam anime I enjoyed was G-Gundam. x_x Like I never watched Neon Genesis Evangelion and when I tell other anime fans that are into that anime they usually interrogate me for some reason like I committed a crime. lol

I seem to recall something about a blown budget as well, or perhaps a cut budget? Dunno, I run a model shop so tonnes of customers expect me to have watched all this stuff, so I end up hearing bits and pieces over time.
