Hello ladies and gentlemen, i was away from STO for some time now and in that time everyithing that worth something droped down!
Before i was earning by collecting and selling R&D Materials, now the price of R&D Material is droped so its hard to get any real cash via that.

So what would be the fastest way to earn some real cash whitout crafting?

If you have zen you can buy lock box keys and sell them.

Depends how quick you want to make EC, crafting is still like rolling the dice so just getting the materials should be good enough. Run missions like Crystaline Advanced, some foundry missions that are made for loot drops and generally going through some story missions that drop items. A lot of these items you will just sell to the vendor, but will still make you EC and if you are on the KDF side, contraband missions will make you EC, contraband usually goes for 40k+ EC each.

I don't make a whole ton of EC...I could make more if I tried with it I suppose...but I generally make and sell various superior tech upgrades and depending on what class you are you can make PADD's and sell some Mk III boff skills for around 100k+ per...same with the upgrades.

Not fast but if you have lots of resources can make some quick decent EC.

If you're geared and skilled enough for elites you can make almost 400k+ per box you get from them or keep the resources and sell the salvaged technology for like 300k.

Elite R&D Material Reward Boxes that you receive when a STF is successfully completed on Elite difficulty.

You can run Tour the Galaxy. You'll need a warp core that cuts your transwarp cool down in half (like the Obelisk warp core) and the Borg impulse engine, figure out your route, and do it daily. If you can get a ship with the advanced quantum slipstream drive (like the veteran bonus ship), that's a big plus.

I'm currently getting about 700K on a run. Run it with more than one toon, run it daily. It's a heavy grind, but it's decent money for fifteen minutes of work.

If you have access to the Solenae Warp Core, I always found that to be excellent for TtG. Although, to be sure, I haven't actually run the Tour since the sector map revamp.

I was doing tour long time ago before the sector map revamp It was a nice source of EC, something like 1 M per run. But it was so long time ago that I don't remember the way anymore.

Well, on the plus side, you won't have to unlearn your old route. I forget if anyone here has an updated guide to the Tour route, but a quick Internet search will surely yield something.

I'm finding R&D upgrading items sell pretty well on the exchange. As well, I just been farming delta patrols for loot and selling those to either the sphere or exchange.

Altho I'm in a dire need of EC myself (need the goddamn lobis), here's what I can chip in: doff, doff, doff, doffity doff. Asylums, Exchanges, Suliban, Colonization, colonists whatever you can find flying around, and results doffs.

I have two toons for doff "management" - Annie is flying around (since she's the only one with fully completed assignment chains), picking up all the sweet sweet missions - purple results go on exchange (usually about 4-500k per), blues are distributed around the other toons, to help them doing the chain missions, and greens getting sent to Isabella - she's the one sitting at the Academy, downgrinding the greens and selling the whites / feeding the fleet if needed. Downgrinding does not gonna make you rich in a second, but it's a decent source of income (usually 30k a piece, a good doff run gives me around 40-50 whites to sell).

Also, I can't point out enough: Suliban Cell Ship. Tau Dewa missions are awesome, especially since you can pick up all 6 of the missions instead of only one (ssssh, it's a secret!). I run it on all of my toons, and it takes 5 days to complete it - meaning, I get 10*6 = 60 doffs every 5 days, netting me usually between the 10-50m mark (depending on success rate and drop, ofc).

I recently bought 100 of each componet needed to craft MKII antiproton dual heavy cannons and antiproton beam arrays. Came out with about 80 items (spread across two characters) to sell on the exchange ranging in price from 100,000 to 4.75mil. If everything sells, then I would have made over 100 million EC on those 80 items. The rest I just threw into the replicator.

That's my favorite way of earning EC, unless you keep getting stuck with players that don't know what to do lol. Would be nice to run a few with you guys next time I can play . Plus earns you some rep marks.

Also I like to get loot from foundry missions, you can easily get some good ECs just from selling the items you get to a vender.
