I hate the two non-shuttle events. At least shuttle events I just have to send and forget, and the shuttles themselves return things my characters can use. The event is a bonus for normal play.

The last one is for those with a large stable of good characters and too much time on their hands. (4x2 hours for 4 days!) At least it doesn't divert resources from anything else, but it becomes very tedious very quickly.

This type is for those with massive stockpiles of things. Due to the stupid droprates, I end up losing things I actually need to level, and accrue more garbage I already have a ton of. This actually has a negative impact on normal play, so I just aim for a set of personal rewards then forget about it.

Yeah I've reached a point now where I have to do the grind for equipment to level my characters as I'm hitting points in either events or the story where I can't do it anymore because I lack the skills, let the grindfest begin. Plus side though I finally got enough schematics for a Borg Cube! Took it into the Area ooooh it's fun

Is it sad that i pretty much stopped playing since at this point i can't do anything since I don't pay to play to win.

I can always do the daily stuff, and that's great but I hardly level a character up in a day now

its a cool game, but there needs to be more stuff before I play again that doesn't requires paying to get ahead.

Was playing some of this and I've been desperately needing a Doctor for a few missions. I finally get McCoy.....WOOT.............oh, it's Prisoner McCoy, so he doesn't count as a doctor? WTF? lol

Dr. Pulaski (3*) is a Doctor, but it's worth focusing on CMO Crusher (2*) over he due to being needed for the weekly challenges.

So this was the video released from the team about the future of Timelines released at the 50th Anniversary Vegas convention over the weekend for those who haven't seen it.

It's not a game I would go to a convention to look at, I just use it as a time waster!

Changes though have made getting through missions easier and the PvP ship that you get schematics for is a good boost.

I've been trying to figure out who I should immortalize and discard, and from data gathered while rummaging through the forums I've put together the following list of "must keep" cadets:

COM: Sito
DIP: Leeta, Pizard
ENG: Seska
MED: Crusher, Kes
SCI: Pazlar
SEC: Worf, Kira

The above are all 2*s, and aside from the following exceptions all other 1* and 2*s can be safely discarded without losing the ability to ace the weekly challenges.

Seven in Blue is needed to get 3*s in UF - First Conflict on Epic difficulty.
CMO McCoy (1*) and maybe Spock (2*) are needed to get 3*s in the last mission in EAS on Epic difficulty.

Once you've gotten 3 stars on those, they're safe to discard.

So now that we have squadrons, we need to figure out how to put them together.

Logically, we first need to put together a list of who's active and interested.

Next we would need to organize that list into squadrons (groups of 5). I'd prefer the groups will be of roughly the same activity level, so no one is doing all the heavy lifting. Imbalance would just breed resentment.

I see we have a few officers in the STT Fleet, any of them still active and willing to organize?

I have taken a break from this game ... in short what does the squadrons thing add to the game?

As far as I know, it's an additional mechanic for the events where you can earn rewards as a squadron, in addition to the normal event stuff.

That fact that progress is shared is why I say it's best for people of roughly the same progression/activity to group together, as it seems more fair that way.

I haven't had a chance to look at the squadrons feature but I did think the same as Dark, it may create an opportunity to do some clan gaming from what I read briefly of it?
