Depending on how well this game fairs, is there going to be anyone here who will be playing on the PC?

I just bought the game through the Ubisoft Humble Bundle.

I pre-ordered the gold edition of the game on Steam. I saw a trailer of the game from E3 2013 and it looked interesting. I almost forgot about this game until I saw news of the closed beta.

I played the closed beta and it looks pretty polished. I actually had some awesome runs on the hospital co-op mission on hard difficulty on the last day of the beta. The group was so good that we actually played through it multiple times. I was laughing and crying at the same time just from all the grenades being tossed by each team mate at the enemies clustered together and then watch them go down in a hail of bullets. I had a fully modded blue quality M249 light machine gun with me and that made it even better.

But aside from that awesome co-op run, I like how New York City was closely mirrored in-game to the real life one, especially the Madison Square Garden area and the post office directly across from it. The rpg aspect and the ability for friends to join in your single player game is awesome. I'm not quite a fan of the Dark Zone though. The PvPvE concept sounds interesting on paper but having seen the reports of griefers and campers waiting around extraction zones to steal other players' loot it turned me away from the DZ. I'd like to see a version of the Dark Zone which is co-op only because I think it would add to the replay value of the game once the story missions are completed.

Well, we need to make a UFP Fireteam for this game. I personally can't wait for the open beta. I'm gong to see if Healer-centric character is viable, as I'm going to stick with the best looking of the costumes above: The Paramedic.

I was a little shocked with the rampant cheating that was going on in the closed beta (which was Ubi's fault, they stored essential stats like Ammo count, Crit Chance etc on the client side and the server accepted whatever the client sent without question, so a simple trainer could make you invincible). but a recent press release says they fixed that.

Time will tell I guess.

Since The Division does not have a traditional class system like most MMOs that limit you to a specific role, you can have any combination of the damage, tanking, and healing roles thanks to the skills which you can switch out at anytime. For the healing role in The Division, I've found the healing grenade skill with the pulse scan is a good combination.

I pre-ordered the gold edition so I'll be using the National Guard set and the police set. Though if I'm battling the flamethrower-wielding Cleaners, I might use the FDNY uniform.

While it is a bit alarming that the closed beta data was stored locally on users PCs that would allow cheaters to exploit the game, it's a good thing this problem was caught early during beta rather than after release. I myself haven't been to the Dark Zone frequently, most of the time I was exploring the available areas outside of the DZ for enemy NPCs, loot crates, and enjoying the little audio and visual details of the city.

Well you can now pre load the Divison open beta. PC users will be able to get into the beta on Friday and it will last till Monday. The Division beta is a whopping 26 gigs.

Well from what I read there is no official clan type of system in The Division. If there is going to be it should be handled by The Holodeck.

I don't think there will be a clan system within the game anytime soon. Teaming up from the Uplay friends list seems to be the only option at the moment.

I gave the Dark Zone another chance on the last day of open beta. I was with a full group who used the in-game voice chat quite well, though the "rogue" system still needs a bit of work. The open beta introduced the deployable turret and at least once there have been non-rogue players accidentally going into the turret's line of fire, giving the player who deployed the turret rogue status. Aside from that, we managed to pick up some good blue quality loot from the enemy npcs. Having a full team in there makes a big difference. Safety in numbers is the motto of the day.
