I just started paying attention to the Reputation system. Is is worth it to max lv all the rep sections? Will my ship benefit from it?

definetly. yes. plus completing the reputations is considered to be a vital part of the endgame.

Some of the Item sets you get from the rep systems, once fully upgraded to Mk XIV are some of the best gear in the game.

Some items are even useful to complete events for farming Dil, for instance, the Borg Impulse Drive is almost a must if you want to totally complete Tour The Galaxy.

Aside from the gear, they also unlock traits (Tier 1 to 4) and active reputation abilities (Tier 5).

There's also a final bonus for Tier 5, which usually gives 5 figures worth of dilithium.

For the record, the Terran Task Force Weapon is considered so good that the metagame has switched away from the years-old "one energy type, with tactical consoles boosting that type of energy" to "Terran Task Force weapon, whatever energy weapons you want, and +beam or +cannon tactical consoles (depending on if you're cannons or beams)."

how can I obtain Reputation Sponsorship Tokens? is there any other way besides being given to me? only in tier one for the most part and i can't get more reps until i fulfill them or cancel them.

if you have a character that has already made Tier 5 in whichever toon that character can make the sponsorship token for the character you wish to use it on......then you can use your account bank to transfer it to the new character.

Reputation Sponsorship is solely for the purpose of reducing the time/effort cost of doing the reputation system again with an alt. If you have not done the reputation system once with a character, the sponsorship system bears no relevance to you.
