Hi
After more than 6 months of absence I am back and ready to join STO again.
My character player name on fed side is Lince Ianeasa. The next time I log in STO i will configure the ufp chat and ask for joining the fleet.

And about what are my interests, i really love sci fi. Star wars and Star Trek were more than films for me, they were the dreams of my child. Still today, when i listen their soundtrackss I almost feel the excitement of the first time I saw the films, remembering the days of youth.
This year I have free time so I started to reading science fiction books. For now, in the last months I have read:
- Gateway (Frederik Pohl)
- The Mote in Gods Eye (Larry Niven)
- Starship Troopers (Robert A. Heinlein). 1000 times better than the film
- A Fire Upon The Deep (Vernor Vinge).So far the one i have enjoyed more.
- The Ultimate Hitchhikers guide to The Galaxy (Douglas Adams). Only reading the fist chapter, didnt get the sense of 'english humor'
- Childhood´s End (Arthur C. Clarke)
- Rendezvous with Rama (Arthur C. Clarke)
- The Forever War (Joe Haldeman). Only reading to the middle, not sure why i didnt like it.
And now I am reading the first novel of The Book of the New Sun (Gene Wolfe).
I have a long list to read (lots of suggestions on blogs and forums on internet), so I am open to suggestion for the next book... should i stick with the 'classic hits' (Nebula, Hugo awards) or should i look for something different, like exploring the books of Star Wars or Star Trek)?

That's a pretty nice list of books. Agree with you on the Starship Troopers comment, though I love the movie too. What's your favourite Trek series, out of curiosity?

My favorite series are Deep Space 9 and The Next Generation. I cant decide between Picard and Sisko

Welcome to the UFP! I like both the book and movie. Would have liked to see those exo-suits in the movie though. I have processed your invite into the fleet. A book i would recommend would be "Digital Fortress" by Dan Brown.
