Hey guys,

I wanted to get everyone's opinion on how to run events alongside everyone's wants and expectations for events focused around Stellaris and so there are two approaches - that I see - on how to run these events:

1: Continuation events - start a match one event, play for a number of hours and then stop, save and continue play with these save during the next event. This would allow games to be completed rather than half-finished, alongside people being able to join in half-way through the save (this can only be done by taking control of another Empire, instead of using your own.

2: Fresh-Start events - start a brand new match every event and play for how ever long people want to play for, these events would most likely start earlier and going on into the late evening. This allows new people to come along and join in with their own empires, instead of AI empires, and also provides a fresh perspective each game.

If anyone has any other ideas for how to organise the event, then please feel free to share your opinion as I want to make sure everyone gets an enjoyable experience for the Stellaris events.

For me the start of Stellaris is more fun than the mid and end game so I would probably say fresh start events but then there is the fact that ultimately the game doesn't end, that isn't really an issue for me though.

With the continuation events they do seem like a good idea and it makes sense that leaders change over time, I could still see it being something of a shame if you couldn't make an event and had to miss out on continuing your story or someone else taking it over and handling things poorly.

If I had to vote I would say fresh starts, the start of a new game and the early stages are, I think, the most fun period of the game.

I should have been clearer, as this was what I was planning with that event the otherwise eventually only a couple of people would be left. This will be what I will do with continuation events.

Bought Stellaris a couple of weeks ago and the more I play, the more addicted I'm becoming.
Would love to join in with a Multiplay event, either fresh start on continuous.
Seeing how long these games take, you'd think that continuous would be the obvious choice here, but in my experience the problem with this kind of game is that the longer it goes on, the harder it is to get eveyone together to continue.
On the other hand I also agree with Chris that the early stages of the game tend to be the most fun.
Although I haven't really dared to go to war yet ...

Still, I'm in for either option.

I have removed the continuation event from the events system as I won't be able to attend the session on August 7th, future events may occur but may be on a separate night as the Elite Force tournament is going to be running from he 15th August for a couple of weeks. Be sure to keep an eye out for the change in events.
