I gotta say that I really like the new direction that Mark Rademaker (designer of the Vesta class: USS AVENTINE) is taking the USS VOYAGER refit for the Full Circle novel series...the refit is supposed to include a more sleek / stretched out saucer, and engineering hull, a second shuttle bay, a newer, more recessed bridge with 3 command seats, clamshell main shuttlebay door for the delta flyer, new slipstream nacelles & pylons that wont tilt (which I don't like since the variable geometry nacelles are unique to the Intrepid class...but this is the Voyager variant so I guess its ok) . its a design id love to see in Star Trek Online as well...

This is really cool! I always loved the Intrepid class, I just absolutely hated the nacelles on it. Made it look way more clunky and ugly.

The nacelle not moving makes sense with the refit. The variable geometry nacelles used on Voyager were designed to be more efficient for long term use and to reduce damage to subspace. Newer nacelles dealt with the subspace damage differently without the need for variable geometry nacelles.
Interestingly the Excelsior class nearly featured variable geometry nacelles and one class based off of the Excelsior did utilise them in a four nacelle configuration.

Well i understood the reason behind the moving nacelles, it reminded me of the F-14's. I also do like the longer nacelles and it being elongated more.

the variable geometry nacelles made Voyager and the Intrepid class standout from other ships.....like others, I think the nacelles themselves needed to be a little bigger......but I still love the Intrepid class..... and I almost forgot about the Chimera and Manitcore class ships with their updated variable geometry nacelles.

That's definitely an improvement. Would be nice to see the refit class actually on a screen some time.

That is quite a nice looking ship, if I was to change anything I would make the pylons a bit broader, I like the look of solidity it gives

I am not sure if I would call it a refit but rather a new class of ship, for example like the Miranda Class is to the Soyuz Class.
