    It'll certainly be interesting to see how it works! I won't be able to be someone to test this though, since I only play games on PC.

    I really like the look of this! I for one am actually looking forward to playing it on console, would be oddly nice to start from the very beginning fresh!

    Will they have a way to build macro's? With all the abilities we have now, it would be difficult to be very effective selecting one at a time.

    From what I read and discussed amongst friends is that you will have to slot your most used BO space abilities and will be able to do something similar to Macros such as executing a series of button combinations. unslotted abilities will have to accessed manually, but i think it will turn out ok. More intuitive but less feel.

    Im kinda scared that STO Console will make us make a new character. Other MMORPG like DC online will only let you play in console universe or PC Universe. you wont be able to play cross platform (based on past experience)

    It would be nice to have the option to play with a keyboard and mouse, but looking at the new streamlined radial UI, doesn't look possible. I think the game will have better graphics but a dumbed down UI. they have to make the UI/icons bigger to take into account of sitting farther away. another take away.

    Finally, I have a lifetime subscription and my friends are already telling me that the console if only free to play. I told him to prove it. as soon as he does, i'll post it.

    That info could be coming from the launch trailer itself, which advertises the console edition as free to play. I suspect they will likely monetize the game similar to the PC version with in-game purchases too.

    Do you think its only going to be free to play? I agree with you about monetizing the game. At the same time STO is not obligated to provide me the lifetime access. it wasn't advertised in the original agreement .

    Hard to say at this point, but I imagine that they will offer silver and gold subscriptions via each console platform respectively. I don't have any information about what existing lifetime vets like myself might receive, if anything.

    Given the need for them to continue generating cash, I wouldn't put my hope into the lifetime sub benefits carrying over to the console offerings.
