    What do you think about the decision to go with 13 episodes comprising one story and if you could ask Bryan Fuller any question about the new Star Trek show what would you ask?

    I think having fewer episodes per season will allow for more time to be spent telling great stories, rather then churning out 24 episodes and burning out the actors and creative talent.

    I would like to ask them for more clarity on how the show will unfold, I.E. will it be based on a new crew/ship every season. Or will it unfold more like Lord of The Rings, where it will focus on 2 or 3 groups of characters and go back and forth between seasons?

    Well this is how tv series are running these days, by gone is the old 26 episode season. If the story is good then i don't see a problem with it being 13 episodes.

    I'm pleased they've gone for a Sci-Fi TV Drama made up of long story arcs as it will require greater investment from the viewer, I loved series 4 of ENT for this reason!

    This is the norm now. A show must prove it can attract an audience before they give it full-season status. I am, however, pleased to know at least the first season will be one storyline. I don't really want to story hop with Star Trek.

    I'm just hoping that its an enjoyable story, 13 episodes doesn't seem too bad as most shows that are out nowadays are around 13 episodes per season. I'm not very pleased about the show being locked to CBS All Access but I guess we just have to hope that a platform like Amazon Prime Video picks it up also.

    I definitely think it's interesting that they have gone for the approach of one long story, it's a format that has been proven as workable but I do think it's going to be interesting to see how Star Trek pulls it off, the closest we have come to this before in Star Trek is with Deep Space Nine and Enterprise which had some very long story arcs but they were both due to exceptional events in the Star Trek universe, it's going to be interesting to see how one long story works as the norm.

    I suspect they will be aiming for an hour per episode but since it's streaming rather than on network TV they can be a bit flexible if needed.
