I always hate this part but here it goes.....

Retired military, but, Military retirement pay isn't near as great as a lot of people think so I currently work for National Assemblers. Basically we are a "vendor" company and we go to large retail stores, such as Walmart, Sears, Academy, Home Depot etc etc and assemble their product for them. Bicycles, grills, exercise equipment, furniture .... basically anything and everything they might need. It is a very fast-paced an physically demanding job, especially for someone who qualifies for senior discounts at a lot of restaurant chains already, but, it keeps me in shape, I love working with my hands, and watching a young kids eyes light up as their parents say yes to buying them a bike I just built earlier that day is just a wonderful feeling.

Originally from Oklahoma, I now reside in Texas, just outside Fort Hood. I started playing STO just before the Delta Recruit event. I don't know why it took me so long to find it and start playing as I have loved Star Trek since I was a little kid .... a very little kid. I was born in 1961 so I'm not THAT much older than Star Trek itself. After finding and playing STO, it is the only game I play anymore.

I am on very randomly as my work schedule is quite hectic, but I am usually on for a least a bit every evening, and sometimes on the weekends, like today, I'm on pretty much all day, although AFK a lot. I like running STFs when I'm actively running missions, and I do enjoy teaming while running missions, however, between not smoking in the house, having an old man bladder, 3 dogs that can't seem to hold their bladder very long either, and lastly, a wife that has NO sympathy for my game playing and wants things [B]right now[/B], not in a few minutes after a mission is over.....I tend to afk, a lot, and you have better odds with lock boxes than you do finding team mates that don' mind standing around doing nothing every now and then. That means I mostly run solo stuff and jump into STFs every now and then.

Hello Ariotex, I know little about the military, my uncle and auntie both served in the British armed forces and had tours in the middle east, now living it up in civilian jobs. You should find many friendly people around to play STO with on a more casual level, no harm in not being able to attend much, but it's certainly more fun to play games with people!
