Hi guys.
There's been a lot of talk on the main STO forums of late about improvements to kinetic weapons. There's even been mention of the problems in at least one Priority One by a member of the dev team.
Most players who try to make a living using these weapons know just how bad the cards are stacked against them what with the innate shield resists, slow speed to target (compared to beans) and most HY torps getting shot down before hitting being the most annoying problems.
A lot of players assume or are "informed" that slotting a torp is bad news and this is a shame, because you can have some interesting build with torps being used. The problems are that the mechanics involved in them are outdated, obscure and to be honest putting people off using them.
Why go and struggle to get an effective torp boat when you can BFAW your way through everything?
This thread: http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/st...pedo-advice/p2
Has one of the most knowledgeable members of the "kinetic community" asking for those not normally using the main forums to post there showing support for some change and inprovement to the whole projectile weapons department. There's plenty of support on the main forums but we are just a small minority of players, what we need is word to come from those less vocal aspects of the player base to show there's is wide ranging support for changes to be made.
Hopefully some fleet members feel the same as I do and can show some support.
Thanks for reading.
