Goody, things have gotten so bad that they have reversed their "we are never going to do a T6 Connor, because CBS won't allow it" - things aren't looking good! Ran out of lock box ideas! I'd consider getting it, if I could buy it separately, but I'm fed up and buy into, the random chance to get a ship bullocks anymore...

Also, anyone else noticed that a lot of the forum posts over on the ARC forums are just people complaining?

Thats because people have been asking for an end-game Connie since BEFORE the game launched (I first read about complaints there wasn't one when the NDA was lifted of the closed beta).

That is a long time to wait, and I know most are aggrieved at the delivery method (most would have preferred a C-Store purchase but I think the r&d box method will make PWE more money), but still at least its in the game now (this is probably what Cryptic/PWE will say now too!).

How to celebrate the 50th Anniversary when the most iconic ships are out of reach for most of the players.

They are loosing players already because of how boring the game is and now this and before the Nagus

It's PWE that tells cryptic what to do and it's all about money, ideally they should have more than one way of getting any content. They just aren't taking into account the players who just can't afford to contribute real money for game items. Another example and one of the reasons i'm trying to stay off zone chat is players that say, earning EC to buy a ship from the exchange is easy, it is, if you know what to make with r&d then sell, that people will buy which gives enough profit over resources used in the first place.

All in all, it would mean sitting at the exchange, going through every item to see what it is selling, how much for and can the materials be justified. or, they say, buy keys, open lock boxes and sell the contents, well, another bug bear, keys require zen or ec or dil to zen. At the moment, to get enough zen to buy just one key takes a week of using all your dil, 8k per day (assuming having only one character) and prey the value of dil to zen drops enough. 99% of the time, a lock box gives items that are worth less than the cost of the key to open it.

The whole system needs a revamp but they won't while players, with their flexible friend (credit card) are willing to spend up to or beyond $1000 a year on the game which is what was needed to get the limited gold ferengi ship and even then, only a few got it.

It's a case of 'keep a few happy' rather than the majority, which, also goes against the ethos of star trek, "The needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few".

If I have gotten anything wrong in this, I apologise, I'm only going by my experience of the game. I love Star Trek, or I wouldn't be here, it is the ONLY game like it out there that has the variety, the ships, the graphics etc and yes, I know it's an old game engine and could be better.

So CBS reversed it's stance on "no T6 Connie" and people still rage. No surprise to me. [emoji14] Regardless of how it is released people will still rage.

It's possible CBS has changed their mind with the 50th and a new show coming up. They are probably looking at all of this as promotional.

As far as how the ship is being distributed, I don't mind it. I like that it's rare. That way I don't see a thousand of them everywhere I go.

I was expecting a standard cruiser loadout for the TOS Connie, but they gave it more like a battlecruiser configuration--and three Lt.CMD BOFF seats! Okay, I'm a little envious now...
