    I was just wondering this, because I've been wanting to buy some of the Tac ships that are available. However, I don't see hardly any of them being used.

    Never used a pilot ship personally, but I assume there are some that will work well with a tactical captain, the Valiant-class can be reskinned as a Defiant so that's the one I'd pick Tongue Out

    Probably need to wait for someone with some build experience though, I fly ships based on looks more than usability...

    I have the T6 Fleet Defiant on my tac loaded with the quad cannon, cloaking device, and the torpedo console from the Valiant. Pilot ships don't really appeal to me but since I already have the quad cannon and cloaking device, and I like the Defiant in general, it seemed like a good fit for me.

    I bought the pilot ship megabundle a couple of months ago. The main thing I learned is that, and I cannot stress this enough, I suck-diddly-uck at piloting. Cry

    You probably went d'oh. [emoji14] Pilot ships are a unique niche. They seem to be better suited for experienced escort ship players.

    I actualy do reasonably well in the Veteran Destroyers*, but so far my attempts at using the Pilot ships has been lots of swooshin' and 'splodin'. Just feels like a different animal, and if I'm ever gonna make it work, I'll just need to get some reps in. My piloting/helmsanship in general isn't strong, and these ships feel like they'll exacerbate that.
