    Renewable energies are one of the ways forward to a sustainable future for the world, but what are your thoughts on windfarms? Do you think they are an eyesore and shouldn't be near populated areas or do you think they look nice? Or just not care at all!

    I think they're an eyesore, and at present, are virtually pointless. Even if you covered every square metre of land in the UK with a windfarm, it would still not meet the UK's power needs.

    I completely support the need for renewable and clean energy. We need to move away from our dependence on fossil fuel sources, and Nuclear is not really a viable alternative. Its safer than it ever used to be, but Fukishima proved that even the best, and I consider the Japanese to be some of the best engineers on the planet, can't make it 100% safe.

    Solar, Tidal, Hydrogen, Cold Fusion?! - one day these will work. Solar is already advanced to a very good point.

    Personally I don't get everyone's beef with windfarms, I don't consider them an eyesore, great for generating energy and I quite like looking at them! I say get the coastline covered in them! Portugal generated all their electricity from renewable sources for an entire day so I think we ought to crack on!

    I went middle of the road on this one for one reason. While it IS a sustainable energy source, the locations that are suited for this are very limited, thus making it more of a niche market and not something that will in the long term make any difference.

    That being said, if you want one, I got no problem with that but it's not the answer needed. Meh!
