There will be Sundays where I might be running late (the day doesn't really work for me anymore!) but I should still get online at some point. I was delighted to see so many people still showed up for STF Sunday and was happy to run with everybody after a couple of months long hiatus. Let's just sum up what we did to show everybody you don't always need a department/ division to do some cool STFs.

Because there was not enough people for two full teams, we decided to go with a rotating team. Participants were:

Hevelin
Southjn
Zoidberg
Spacedreamer / Blitzfreigabe
Tullius / William Balthazar
mfkdso

We started off with an Undine Assault. Sadly, I'm unable to share my enthusiasm on this one as the rotation caused me to sit this one out. When that was finished, I got back in the game, quite literally and we started Days of Doom. Personally, this was the first time doing this mission for me, but I'm so glad the rest of the team helped me out and explained it quite perfectly. In the end, we completed the mission successfully.

Then however, we decided to take the shortcut to 3 Borg neural processors. At this point it was just South, Space, William, mfkdso and me. Let's just say we "attempted" to do Hive Onslaught Elite and Into the Hive Elite, but were kind of forced back by the Borg into our own personal space where we could curl up against the wall and cry. In short, we were not successful, but everybody still seemed to enjoy this a lot.

This enjoyment actually turned out to be nothing compared to what was to come. Infected Space, Cure Space, Kithomer Space were on the to-do list to get those 3 Borg neural processors. So we went all-in. Quite literally, actually. Let's just say some of us got up to 84K DPS (*ahem*) during Infected Space and the total amount of time it took us to complete all three was slightly less than 10 minutes.

Even though it is me posting this, I want to point out that everything tonight was very much a team effort and in the end, nothing would have probably happened if it wasn't for ThreeOfSeven hosting the event this time around. Thank you all for the amazing night!


As a personal note, I'm very sad to see ESF disbanded. It is my opinion however, that no matter the existence of any such division/ department, we need to go forward. Don't forget that events like this one are made for the community by the community. So as long as there are members from the community who are having fun and come together to create events like these, we don't need to rely on the existence of an official division. We just need to coordinate our efforts and come together. In the end, that is what being part of a community is all about.
