Any NCIS fans out there?

As some of you might notice, my current avatar is Abby from NCIS, so I am a fan of the original series, though there are spin offs (it is hard to see Archer in the role of a lead NCIS agent!), so yeah! What do you guys think of the NCIS shows if you have seen any of them!

Big fan but a few seasons behind on the original need to sit and get those watched.

I used to watch the first 6 seasons on Fridays evenings and I really liked it (and I have to admit that I had a crush on Abby...)

I don't think I've ever watched it, would it be something that you would recommend to watch? I've almost finished watching Smallville so I'm going to have to find something to watch after that. I've heard of it but I haven't sat down and watched an episode, not that I can remember anyway.

I watch lots of crime solving shows, I really enjoy them, and while I haven't seen NCIS, its on my Netflix que.

Some of my Favorites are: Lie to me, Numb3rs, CSI (Miami).

Yes NCIS (the Original) is defintely worth watching. You really need to watch it from the start because it does follow a story arc somewhat. Big fan of everyone on that show. I had a crush on Caitlin but she left the show but then showed up on Rizzoli & Isles.

Well since NCIS is a Spin-off of JAG I've enjoyed it from the beginning and I like NCIS: NOLA, I just can't stand NCIS: LA though. I'm in the Navy and I know that it's all fictional but just something about LA really really sucks to me. My favorite characters are Abby and Gibbs followed by DiNozzio.

I'm a huge NCIS fan. Currently trawling through S14, which is the very first without Michael Weatherly (sad face). Its doing okay, but I think it lacks the vitality and energy of earlier series. Mark Harman is clearly a lot older than he was when he started this, and its shown by the way they're now portraying Gibbs as more of a sage fatherly figure who is less "active".

Abby is by far one of the strongest characters of the series, no question. Her quirkiness make it so much more enjoyable, especially as a stark contrast to all the stuffy "professionals" around her, and here's this gothic lunatic in the basement, who is an extremely intelligent scientist, and she is an integral part of the team!

Dr Mallard is one of my other favourites, because he always has some quip or quote that seems like he's an absent minded professor teaching a class, yet he's one of the most interesting characters. In more recent series, we've seen a lot of backstory development for Ducky, giving his character far more depth and substance.

When NCIS came along, it was towards the tail end of JAG - which I also adored, and I generally ignored NCIS at its start. But I really got into it years later, and now I wait for the new series' with eager anticipation!

A lot of people said it wouldn't be as good without Ziva, but it still worked, so I suspect it'll still work without DiNozzio, though harder to replace him since McGee is now the senior field agent and he doesn't quite have the same character. But they have always shown Gibbs as the farther figure of the group, in a way, Ducky also gets shown in a similar light too sometimes, especially when others are looking for advice or comfort and of course, yeah Abby, she's the child of the group pretty much!

For me, it wouldn't be the same without Gibbs, Ducky or Abby in the show, they are key figures to me for NCIS, which will be interesting when Mark Harmon gets too old for the role, they've not really got anyone written in to replace him. It's the same for all the characters really, one of the flaws, if one character falls out, there's no transition to someone you already know, like Caitlin died, replaced by Ziva eventually, who we never saw prior to her position. The only character I remember built up as a regular was McGee, series one he was reoccurring but not on the team, then series two he was.

Oh and don't get too into any of the forensics, especially the computer bits, it's a lot of nonsense!

If you are missing Weatherly, you should check out his new show, "Bull" it's really good. I think if it ever got to the point where Harmon gets too old or doesn't want to do the show anymore I think they would just end it. It's had a very good and long run.

I love the original, NCIS LA is pretty good too. I haven't seen many episodes of New Orleans. And when I do, all I see is Captain Archer in his Ent uniform instead of a NCIS supervisor. But now that DiNozzo will no longer be on the show, I don't know how interested I'll be in continuing to watch the original. It has gone down hill already for me since Ziva left, but now Dinozzo too, come on!

I have watched all the original NCIS series and the first season of LA. Missed the New Orleans one other than the cross over but I will try and catch that one up. Watched all the CSI's also.

Numb3rs........that's a show that I've watch THE ENTIRETY OF at least 17 times when all we had was netflix and no cable. Its hella good, but if i hear that theme tune ONE MORE TIME.......GAH!!!!

Criminal Minds FTW. Hodges is about to go & Morgan's gone already. Ma loves that show!!
