Hey,
So I've had a build idea percolating around my head for a while now, and I think it's time to try it out. The basic idea is an "Electronic Warfare"" ship, using Jam Sensors and Scramble Sensors on the enemy while you blast away at them.
I futzed around this thing for a while, finally settling into the idea of trying it with the Gorkon-class battlecruiser. First draft is here. A few notes on her:
Yes, I'm using the Assimilated Borg set. No, I won't be switching it to Iconian.
I'm not sure if Control Amplification is worth it. Anyone got 2 latinum on the issue? If I decide to add it in, I'll probably take out Offensive Coordination and give that node to Control Amp. (I'm also thinking I"ll pry one more loose somewhere and grab Improved Control Expertise; if I do that, it'll probably be either Defensive Coordination or drop Advanced Hull Penetration down to Improved.)
I had to abandon the Nausicaan console from the Entoiled Technology set, not for the plasma explosions, but because I need the CtrlX more than the DrainX that console puts on the table.
I do intend to switch over to Strategist secondary, but I'm not going to do that until he's got enough points in the spec to make it worth my time (read: Attrition Warfare 2).
Those are about all the thoughts I can pre-emptively offer on her. If anyone would care to offer some constructive criticism, I'm all ears!

I am not sure that this build will work in PvE very well, at least a ship with a Commander Science and 5 Science Consoles would be preferable but even than I think it ill not work for example Borg ships are very resistant to such attacks.

It works well enough for what it does. And of course, a ship with Cmdr Sci and more Sci consoles will do it better, btu I wanted to try it out on something with a bit more teeth than the Naj'Sov. (I do plan to try it out with Science Vesel version.)
Naturally, damage is lower than on a build more focused on EPG, but I ran her in a few Advanced queues and she did what she does about as well as I'd expect. I just feel the need to do some different things here and there, because for me this game gets stultifyingly boring when it's just "do all these same things again on a different ship."

honestly its a pretty interesting Idea, although I feel it wouldn't fare too well against more swarmer- like enemies due to the warmup time on those abilities, enemies like the Iconians in the queues would overpower you pretty fast

I don't recall if GtG-Adv was one of the queues I took this build into when I kicked its tires. I'll try it in that and the Herald Sphere, see how it does.
