Mission Summary

The USS Ticonderoga, under the command of her new Captain, is escorting the recently appointed Sector Commander and a Federation Diplomatic contingent to a peace conference on Balos IV. They are there to mediate an end to a conflict between the Lomas and the Paedrons that has lasted for over a hundred and fifty years.

However, external parties contrive to sabotage the peace process for their own ends.

Her orders are simple; preserve the peace - at all costs.

MISSION LOG - STARDATE 65475.3 - OCTOBER 11, 2387 - 12:52:11

The Ticonderoga is now in orbit of Balos IV after a peaceful six day travel from Starbase Zetari. Upon arrival in orbit, the Ticonderoga was greeted by the ships of the Lomas and Paedron delegations, who agreed to allow diplomatic contingents from each vessel to transport down to the neutral planet for negotiations. The hosts, the Baloisians, have been extremely accommodating, and are providing security for the entire event. Although Starfleet is on hand to provide a neutral third party view, full credit should be given to the Baloisian's for putting this together.

The Federation delegation, including Ambassador Phillips, Admiral Malone, Captain Nolan and the diplomatic contingent from the Federation have all beamed down to the surface at the appointed time. The Lomas and Paedron's have sent down shuttles with their own representatives. It is now time to see how the diplomats broker a deal that appeals to all sides.
