Need help on Revamping my Fed Tac Sci hybrid build...

I returned to playing STO recently... I kind of need help sorting out stuff not sure my gear is still relevant... or outdated...

If you could show us your current build we could actually help you, Tac Sci hybrid build can mean a lot of things for example the current meta of the game could be described as a Tac Sci hybrid.

well my current skill tree is blank atm, for my gear its mostly polaron stuff and my plasmonic leech console (which I am not sure if its still relevant) and my upgraded jemmy gear set...

the new rep that starts this week is polaron based, so you could amend your build around that

I gots an impression that the more recent builds are more tailored to an specific ship type rather than ship class...

The plasmonic leech is very relevant.

My build is a PvP from 2+ years ago. It does decent but there is much to be desired.

The build is quite of to the current PvE Meta and while the new reputation and the Jem'Hadar set does boost Polaron damage I would rather get the Iconian Set as it is much more versatile.

I use this Skill Tree on all my Tac and Engineering alts it works quite nicely.

How about for ship recommendations...? more weapon suggestions? will I go with Sci vessels?

It depends what you want to do, all ship can be good and reach high dps numbers you can check out some of the builds i did lately maybe I already did a ship you will like.

I am somewhat short of funds atm... not that sure if I can scrape something for the new T6 Vesta... Not that sure if the build's gonna be compatible...

Maybe you can tell me what ships do you have and which one of them you want to fly.

well currently I gots a T6 Defiant Freebie, then a vesta T5.5 and thats about it for my fed side... It still depends on what ship might work with my updated build @.@ then there's the next patch...
