Once I turn around 21 I want to go on a multi-year road trip of sorts around the us, staying in each state for about a month each, I would mostly be living out of my car and fast food. Any supplies you guys would suggest bringing? The only things I have decided to bring money for is food and gas. Is this even feasible to you guys? What do you think?

It's not up to us to tell you what to do, it's your life. I have seen some people live out of thier cars, voluntarily and involuntarily. Sure it's feasible to do it, as long as you have enough money to do it.

I can't really offer much advice but I would like to say good luck with this, it sounds pretty creative and I hope you enjoy yourself!

Note that you can only stay 3-6 months (depending on the visitor visa you get).
1. Insurance is the number one thing you need, American's love to sue (even for the smallest auto accident.)
2. Lots of money, as eating out 3 times a day will get costly (even on junk food)
3. Research ahead, as I travel quite a bit down there (lots of sketchy area's (especially after dark)
4. They do have a great highway system that does make travel between states very easy
5. 3-6 months is all you really need, most of the states are pretty much the same. Just target the ones you really want to see
6. Research.Research.Research

You may want to look into Youth Hostels to stay in as opposed to your car. Firstly, staying in your car isn't comfortable at any means. Secondly, if your car is broken into or stolen (happens a lot in some areas) you may lose everything. Lastly, a lot of towns and cities may have vagrancy laws. Thus unless you want a police officer to be knocking on your car window in the dead of night, best to know where you can sleep in your car safely.

If you stick to major highways, there's generally rest stops and such just for sleeping in your car. You can also research nearby campgrounds so if it's decent enough, a sleeping bag outside wouldn't be all that bad. Truck stops are even better, they'll generally have showers. Not just about food, gotta think about hygiene too!
Supply wise, I'd stay away from fast food. It's obviously terrible for you (but so tasty!) but the main reason is just cost. $6-10 a meal and that's going to add up super quick. Best bet is to do PB&J sandwiches. Leaving the peanut butter, jelly, and bread in your car should be fine, and doesn't take up much for space.
Lots of places do have cheaper menus, like $1 for a crappy small burger that never looks like the picture, but meh. Make your own sandwiches - even if you don't like PB&J or allergic, you could have a cooler with ice packs, and put sandwich meat in there. Keep some ham or turkey around, whatever your preference.
When you're tired of sandwiches, there's some soups that are pretty good without having to heat up. Spaghetti O's come to mind.
Don't forget a guitar!
