No. Planes.
Or more specifically, people can just overstay on their legitimate tourist visas. No wall is going to prevent that.

It's very hard to have an opinion about the wall without making the stances on other allied issues clear. So here I go:
Do I think the border wall is the way to go to curb illegal immigration from south?
Nope, I think those 30B$ is better spent elsewhere. I liked certain opinions expressed above, much of illegal (and legal) immigration is as a result of economic disparity. A part of those 30B$ spent on reducing the disparity does more to address the issue than building a random wall. So stop mulling over undoing NAFTA.
Am I one of those free-for-all open borders guys?
No, I do support adequately securing the borders, north or south, East or West, until the time when it is no longer required i.e. until the time the average socio-economic indices are somewhat similar between neighbours.
---Allied topics---
Do I think illegal mexicans are criminals?
Generally [and overwhelmingly] no. But like always, in a large sample population there are some [read few] outliers and criminals.
What about immigration policy?
The wall changes nothing. Being a first generation, I know my parents had to earn it, which they did in the right way by working hard, paying due taxes and naturalizing. I also support a Canadian like "merit" based immigration process to prioritize folks with critical skills than having a country-of-origin quota as is the current US immigration system.
Do I think we should throw out the established illegal immigrants?
Nope, as long as they have been legal in all other aspects, they should be given a pathway to citizenship just like everyone else. But don't make it easier than for those that earn it through employment or one of the other current legal means. Withhold social benefits (social security, medicaid, unemployment, subsidized health care, in-state college tuition in public schools) from illegals which incentivizes legal immigration.
What about minor Children of illegal immigrants?
Children had no role in the decisions of their parents/guardians that committed the said illegal act of immigrating without permission. Ergo should not be punished and should be allowed to naturalize without a penalized naturalization system that their said illegal parents/guardians will be put through.
What about refugees?
We've got to do our part proportionally in accepting refugees just like a bunch of other countries are.
What about overstaying legal stay?
This is one of the chief means of illegal immigration. Local law enforcement should learn to work with USCIS and DHS better.

hahaha"About as frightening as a little rabbit with the word "boo" painted on its nose."!
Besides our whole world history...we also have Star Trek history. All fancy borders do is slow people down til they figure a way around it, or through it. This has been going on for thousands of years, even look at the history of castle sieges, there's always a way.
Remember the gravitic sensor net on the Federation border in TNG? They worked perfectly, too, right? Then they boasted it with a tachyon detection grid, so now it's perfect, right? They lasted all the way through the Dominion War until...OOPS...along came Voyager and all they had to do was modify their shields to refract the beams around the ship so the beams would be uninterrupted hahaha
There's always a way around borders...

If a human created something, you need to think another will know how to break it.
Build a wall and he will discover how human ingenuity will make that wall a thing of the past.
I am not from the USA but what i see from my location is that the USA is going deeper into the ground.
Look at the movie Vendetta and the part that speak about the USA. It is in the right path the moment.
So much money is needed in the wold for education and care. That money would be better spent on human basic needs.

Completely agree. When I saw V for Vendetta, I thought that was the direction our country is moving, probably why the writer came up with it. Also, the artwork of the double cross shows how the new government is double crossing our current one.
