Greetings,
March Roll Call has finished and the survey results are in, all divisions and departments will start posting their responses over the coming days (some already have), so here are the ones for FEO. I would like to thank everyone for responding to the survey and encourage people to do so in future Roll Calls, if you have feedback outside of Roll Call, you can PM me or fill out this form and we'll take a look into it.
I am pleased with the approval increase that FEO had received, I hope that we can maintain this level, or even increase to a 100% approval rating for FEO. FEO members were given a chance to respond to the below feedback, some may have chosen not to because they had nothing to add. But they are of course still free to respond at any point now, if you have any questions!
March Approval Rating: 99% (+5%)
December Approval Rating: 94%
Three of Seven: Glad you like what we are doing.
No interactions with it too give quality feedback about it.
Three of Seven: That's not a problem, hopefully you will be able to see more of what we do, we do often post announcements of new changes.
Three of Seven: Welcome to the UFP!
New leadership brought improvements... Kudos! ... and thanks. Hope there is more to come.
Three of Seven: Thank you, activity within FEO has certainly increased recently and team cohesion is definitely up, we do have more plans. If you have any thoughts on how we can improve the UFP, please do feel free to drop me a message though.
Three of Seven is making some excellent improvements within FEO. I will miss the civilian status that you guys held but I suppose being admirals is cool too.
Can I ask why you guys switched from Civillian to Military? You don't see many Star Trek groups with a civilian government at the top. That made you pretty special. (Not that you aren't special or anything anymore, I love FEO!)
Three of Seven: Thank you, it is however very much a team effort, the improvements could not have been made without the rest of FEO and I think they should be recognised for that, all I have done is given a direction to the team!
As for the civilian status, in the opinion of those in FEO, it created a disconnect between FEO and the rest of the membership, since it was, as you say, different to other Star Trek groups. It also restricted FEO to wearing civilian uniforms, which don't look all that great and don't stand out as being Star Trek! The female options were worse since a lot of them made the character look topless on signatures...
They have been very active and engaged with the community which is very nice to see.
Three of Seven: Great to hear! Hope we can keep this up!
I think the staff does a very good job and I am relieved the website did not go "PINK" after the recent in leadership!
Three of Seven: It's only a matter of time more than anything, got to lay the groundwork first
Three of Seven has made a great start at turning FEO from an inactive and ineffective group of elitist members to an open, honest, active and positively contributing group for the UFP. Where is Sharpkiller though?
Three of Seven: Thank you, we are trying our best to be a lot more transparent than previous administrations, it really helps if people know what we are up to. It's especially important for FEO to SFC to maintain a strong relationship, since it's SFC which enacts the vision of FEO and the volunteers at CL4 who further help to make this place what it is today! As for Sharpkiller, he is a little busy with work and university.
Three of Seven: Good to hear!
you guys and gals do a great job very happy to be a part of this organization
Three of Seven: Thank you, if there's anything you need, please get in touch!
Three is nice, for a Borg
Three of Seven: I don't know why everyone calls me Borg! I am liberated, I no longer associate with the collective! You have to believe me!
Meow meow meow *lick* *lick* *bite*
Three of Seven: Meow, check me out, I'm a cat, meow!
Great to see some leadership!
Three of Seven: It provides a direction for our community!
Overall I not have a very positive opinion of the top as it seems to be they are very good friends and only good friends that are joining FEO not all seem to actually be the best qualified
Three of Seven: This is insulting to the two recent additions to FEO, KerryMalone and Sammygm, to say they weren’t selected on merit, because they were. Additionally, after I took charge of FEO, when I was looking for new FEO members, I put the question to CL5 members to message me about who they thought would fit best in the role, 4 different names came to me, 2 of those were Kerry and Sammy, the other 2 remain in consideration if we need to bring on an additional member to FEO.
The group at the top of the community needs to be able to work together and should become friends, to some extent. If you have a disconnected group, like we have had in the past and I have experienced that disconnect, you end up with a badly functioning group, so not much is going to get accomplished, development gets stifled, and overall, a bad experience for everyone.
No one is going to get a promotion to FEO just by being friends with the right people, not on my watch. They need to show dedication and commitment to the community and be able to do what is required, both Kerry and Sammy have demonstrated this ability.
If you think there is someone who is qualified to join FEO, you are welcome to PM me and tell me why, then I will put them into consideration, ontop of the members CL5 sent to me!
Jonathan F-G: I think this a little unfair but perhaps also a shame that we are viewed as this. I'll give my opinion on this as one of the FEO from the previous administration. We were a divided group with people who tolerated others rather than friends working together. This meant that FEO stagnated and frankly, never did anything productive. Thankfully this is no longer the case and we all work together quite well and are working to improve the UFP. This is no small part to Three's leadership so I applaud her openness and positivity.
We appear as friends because we work closely together and get on well. If we didn't, we wouldn't be doing anything at all because we would hate each other. Either way it appears we give off the wrong message to some people. Personally, I'd rather we improved the UFP and appeared as hard-working friends then as in-active and distant colleagues who found each other distasteful.
In terms of our recent appointments to FEO, I again think it unfair that we only appoint friends of ours. As Three says, we asked SFC (CL5 members) who they think would make good FEO members. Kerry and Sammy were popular members among CL5, along with two others who would also have made excellent FEO members and may still do so. I believe if memory serves me correctly, the issue was their available time rather than if they were my friend that meant, hence we chose Kerry and Sammy.
FEO has got more done in the last 4 months then in the last two years. If you think we should consider someone specific for FEO then I'd be interested in who you suggest.

Ah, this is sweet. I do think that I concur with a certain feedback, you're doing well for a Borg. Pretty efficient stuff here. Congrats on the feedback, FEO!

I like the transparency this brings, reading responses to both the positive and the negative feedbacks. I guess this (cough cough liberated) borg has an efficiency trait

I am still amazed and impressed by the transparency of the these surveys and the honest conversations that occur as a result. It is refreshing to see this level of maturity in an online community and I remain proud to be part of this group.
