    The First Contact Day stuff got patched into the game today, anyone played the event?

    I did and I think it's kind of fun, a bit silly, no real skill required but it was quick and goofy, get's a thumbs up from me!

    It was surprisingly fun! Played it once so far and I won, which was a nice surprise.

    ive played it a few times, I think it would be really nice if and after the event, sto would consider leaving the map... I actually liked running around looking at map and trying to find the key spots from the movie LOL

    Ya I also enjoyed it. Simple and fun, also doesnt hurt that they added that song at the end. That had me so good XD
    While I was waiting for the servers to come back and watched parts from the movie, including the launch of the Phoenix, so that probably helped the enjoyment factor. I'm really hoping the rewards are account unlocks and that they leave the map.

    Fun short mission. Rewards are per Character. Quite a large map for the required duties, so a lot of work put into the map for such a short mission.

    After playing on a few characters over the last few days and now just seeing players literally just stand at terminals rather than actively engage in the mission role, it's a damn pity Cryptic didn't place a 1st place of 1st, 2nd, 3rd.... placing reward to give players some sort of incentive to actually play the mission and send their rocket farthest. There's probably a very high percentage of players that haven't even seen over 20% of the map.

    Magic Carpet Ride music at the end is great, wonder what way copyrights are on that?
    Well done to Cryptic, these little extras are fantastic.
