I'm playing with friends and solo when they are not on. It is easier when you play with friends as you are not trying to do everything at once. The adrenalin does kick in when you are getting close to exploding but it is amazing. I have played all the roles but I prefer engineering (I'm Scottish) and captain. Some times it is not about going in phasers blazing but sneaking around keeping power levels to a minimum to avoid detection. The missions are very good in terms of entertainment and things to do. We have not tried the continuing journeys yet and we don't have access to the original Enterprise yet.
If you get a chance try and get a demo. Seeing is believing.
On a side not about VR. I play DCS World and Prepar3d flight sims. On a 4k monitor they look amazing but even on the lower resolution Oculus VR headset you get more emersion and spacial awareness, so I'm not going back to monitor for those. And yes you do get a slightly sick feeling when flying Mach 2 inverted and pulling high G turns...lol.
