I am hyped for this and it being part of battle.net and it being on PC. I did play it on the 360 but some reason I kept getting disconnected. Being on the PC I don't think that should too much of a problem.

So what's the major difference between Destiny and Destiny 2? I never played Destiny, but I knew it was a MMO.. if so.. it's pretty strange they didn't continue with Destiny or continue developing that.

While the gunplay in Destiny was superb, it received a lot of criticism for the wafer thin plot, which included things such as not explaining what certain events and characters were and a lot of the background lore being only accessible outside of the game itself. The word was that much of what was supposed to be there plot wise was scrapped in the run up to release which is why the disjointed version of events exist. Many questions got left unanswered, such as what exactly is the Traveller, what exactly is the darkness and who is the Stranger and how do they fit into events.

It also had an added problem that as a cross generational title, it was held back a bit in what could be pushed out. Eventually Bungie cut the 360/PS3 versions loose.

I gather Destiny 2 is moving more towards stuffing the lore back into the game and adopting a more open world style of doing things, as well as adding more focus towards exploration of the various planets. This means a lot of side quests, something that was lacking a bit in the original. I certainly enjoyed the game, but after feeling the clan I was in was favouring certain people and groups over others, coupled with burning out somewhat, I threw in the towel. I'm undecided if I'll head into 2, but if I do, I'll be going PC.

Pretty much got enough tokens this week to get it on launch day now, just hope this doesn't mean Bungie will introduce crazy amount of cashshop bs to compensate for the large amount of players buying the game with wow gold.

The prices spiked at around 230,000 gold on the EU servers and around 140,000 on the US servers, but eased off a bit afterwards. I've not played WoW in a number of years but I gather those that had their finger on the pulse and got in quick made a nice profit on the announcement.

Honestly even the guys that play the market didn't really see this coming. Destiny 2 coming out to Battle.net not steam was so left field and surprised everyone, the market was a mess for that week lol.
