    The only problem is from what I understand, this one is supposed to be in the prime universe so we should be seeing something closer to the TOS Enterprise as it would have been launched around the time Discovery takes place.

    This reminds me of when TNG was coming out. People were saying it wasn't going to work and there was a lot of negativity.

    Why do we say it's going against canon? Because the technology/makeup is updated? We're judging the portrayal 1960s set technology/makeup vs 2010s set technology/makeup?

    Don't you think if Roddenberry had the ability to make his 1960s set more advanced he would have taken it? We're working with the best we can to make an accurate portrayal of the future.
