Hello all, it is your local friendly newbie to in-game mechanics here,

I have tried to do research but haven't seen any done post rebalance, so I was wondering what I should run on my Tac Rom, I mix it up between the Faeht Intel Warbird and the Fleet Mogai [T6]

I feel that RF would be better vs larger targets because it is more focused power, though SV is better for multiple hits.

Should I run Cannons: Scatter Volley or Cannons: Rapid Fire or a mixture of the two?

    Thank you once again,

It'll depend on your play style, but each has their uses. That said, I personally favour Rapid Fire over Scatter Volley, as Scatter now has an an accuracy penalty so I prefer to pour the pain into one target rather than spread it out.

Though Fire At Will has the accuracy penalty now too for the beam boats, the difference to me with that skill compared to before doesn't seem as pronounced as it does with Scatter Volley,

Well SV doesn't get the multitude of buffs that FaW does...and still suffers from having such a small cone area of fire. So many things that can affect that cone...FaW still rules the game unfortunately...and I'm sure that is how the devs like it.

For the vast majority of PvE content, you'll want CSV.
There's a few occasions where CRF would be better, but you won't really miss it.
Whereas there will be occasions where you will miss CSV's crowd control. It won't be a life or death thing, but things like Tholian web walls, HY plasma torps, fighters, or mines are really trivialized by CSV. As in you won't even notice them if you're cycling CSV.

The accuracy penalty isn't really much of a concern in PvE, much like with FAW, since there's plenty of ways to mitigate that.

This isn't taking specific builds into consideration, of course. If you have 100% uptime with CRF (though I don't remember precisely how to do that, I think a Starship Mastery Trait that extends the duration when some conditions are met?) then it's obviously gonna out-DPS the alternatives, and probably worthwhile to deal with the Tholian/hanger/etc. annoyances for it.

With the lates changes to the game both Single and Mulit Target builds will work, I had a 110K Single Target Run in the Defiant but depending on what you go with CRF or CSV get the traits for it.

I have been playing around lately and that seems to be more my play style as RF, but I am concreted into that, so long as I am having fun in the game.

Well SV doesn't get the multitude of buffs that FaW does...and still suffers from having such a small cone area of fire. So many things that can affect that cone...FaW still rules the game unfortunately...and I'm sure that is how the devs like it.
The Biggest issue I am having with SV is that the targeting seems so screwed up. During my latest ISA the game had decided my target was the spheres behind me, not the spheres in front of me. Is there any way around this?

CSV has helped me keep things at bay (minus the targeting issue I am having now...) and I have pretty decent uptime with it currently, I want to say just by feel it is probably something around 70-80% uptime. I just don't feel that I am doing the same amount of raw DPS that I get from CRF.

With the lates changes to the game both Single and Mulit Target builds will work, I had a 110K Single Target Run in the Defiant but depending on what you go with CRF or CSV get the traits for it.
That is pretty insane, do you happen to have that build posted on the forum? Which traits are the ones to aim for, besides EWC?

I wish there was...targeting is silly sometimes and tabbing doesn't make good decisions often...

I'm considering switching to a CRF build and seeing how I like it...seems like not many people run GW anymore since the changes and if I don't run GW myself it's really hard to get a few mobs together to make SV worth using.

You can always just carry one copy of each (unless you have traits that tilt one way or the other). Unlike Beam abilities, the cooldowns sync pretty well.
