How much does your skill tree affect the effectiveness of the build ? Also, at least one of my toons on the account where I have the Miranda has a nice set of epic DBBs and so far the Miranda has the turn rate to use them so I would rather keep using my DBBs rather than try to get a set of good beam arrays.

Also, I don't have distributed targetting or Kemocite and probably won't have any time soon. I usually slot a second copy of Tac team 1 and BFAW II where you have those. Is there something else you would recommend there that someone who's not even close to space rich could get ?

Last, where did you get those technician DoFFs ? The only technician DoFFs I've ever seen just reduce recharge time on bridge officer abilities...period, nothing in there about "when aux bat....". I generally hit B'Tran on a regular basis till I get three purples, when I remember to lol

The Skill Tree is the most important part of a build, it is the foundation on which your build is going to setup. DBB are absolutely fine for the Miranda as long as you have some aft weapons that can fire forward like the Kinetic Cutting Beam and Omni Directionals.

If you don't use A2B you will need two copies of each ability.

I think I bought them on the exchange, but you can get them from a Doff mission but it's been ages. The text you see in the Doff Roster does not show all the information take a look at the picture below.

Ya know, I started playing just before DR. Been putting 3 technicians on Active Duty like, forever, based on advice I got from a Fleet mate from way back then, and in all this time I have never actually looked at the full description in the DoFF roster......and the Fleet mate from back then never once mentioned using A2B either.

So, I log in an look and except for a few special technicians I have with radically different powers they are all the same, recharge reduction when using A2B ! ! !

So, I swap my second copies of BoFF powers, slot me some A2B and my DPS should show one heck of an increase just cause my skills stay active more of the time, correct ?BTW, the B'Tran cluster chain is the one that awards blue/purple technician DoFFs, it can take a while, sometimes a long time as the assignment(s) are somewhat rare so you have to just keep going back time and again hoping for the best. Of course, if you can't afford the exchange prices, it may be slow, but it's essentially free.I used to just park an alt in B'Tran, switch to them every now and then to see what missions were available and just keep doing that until I finally got my DoFFs. I actually quit worrying about it because the DoFFs didn't seem to help all that much.....and now I know why lol Time to go park a bunch of alts at B'Tran

When the Doff System was released back than I made the same mistake, A2B has however a downside you will loose all your Aux Power and that will make your Aux based Heals a lot weaker but it's doable.

The changes they made with the balancing they made a lot of combinations viable this is just what I use but I am experimenting with different items.

Competitive Engines are also recommended with the Nukara (Defl/Shield) 2-pc as the Turn+Speed proc/boost opens up other build suggestions.

For my part, I am working on getting the Fortified version as the Resolute has way too much Engineering, yet that's where a lot of the work comes from. Still, Innervated helps with Tactical BOff abilities iirc which makes it popular for DPS.

Right! A very valueable option if someone is not using A2B for CDR.

The build has been updated, it does not show my best run with this ship however it shows that you can still take the 1st place in DPS and Tanking at the same time.

Sigh, the build happens to use items from the one rep I have mostly been ignoring. Until such time as I get competitive rep finished, what gear would you recommend in place of the Impulse engine and shields from your build ?

I believe the other meta choices are:

Fleet colony deflector, fleet core (the power transfer/resist one), Nukara shield and engine.
Or Fleet colony deflector, 3-piece Iconian.

I think the top guys like the Competitive equipment for the boost, whereas I hate the boost because it throws off my piloting to have sudden speed/turn boosts.
